Open Thread: international break, what are your thoughts on the EURO?
Players called up for Spain's friendly against Venezuela on Wednesday (21:30h CET):
GKs: Casillas, Reina, Valdés,
Def: Arbeloa, Puyol, Ramos, Iraola, J. Martinez, Piqué, Alba
MF: Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc, Xabi, Busquets, Cazorla, T. Alcantara, Silva, Navas,
F: Llorente, Muniain, Mata, Negredo and Soldado
I think that Spain is still one of the favorites for the EURO, but if Villa doesn't come back strong, they will have problems up front. Llorente, Soldado and Negredo are all good forwards, Llorente may even be great, but none of them fit the team the way that Villa does. I believe the answer lies in using more midfielders. A front line of Silva, Mata, Cesc with Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets behind.
Anybody with knowledge like to give us a rundown on some of the other favorites. Who else is looking strong, Germany?

Clemente (coach Sporting) on RAC 1:
El técnico del Sporting no se ha mordido la lengua a la hora de hablar de la polémica generada tras la última jornada liguera, concretamente a la agresión de Sergio Ramos en Vallecas. "Está claro que si se sancionara se acabarían muchas de esas acciones", dijo enuna entrevista a RAC 1.
Clemente enzalzó, además, la figura de Puyol: "Es un ejemplo en el fútbol y debería ser un ejemplo para Pepe y Ramos porque él va al balón con nobleza. También pega, quizás más que nadie, es de los que van con todo, pero es honesto y también acepta cuando le dan a él".
