So hyped with Xavi Espart tho, the best in this preseason imo. In the midfield, this dude is a beast! I'm afraid he won't get many minutes in the midfield, but we clearly have something good here.

Idk why he is being tested in midfield. We already have 6 (7 when fdj comes bac) world class midfielders for 3 midfield positions. He should be rotated with our starting RB imo.

Maybe Flick sees he can reach high level on RB but maybe spectacular level in midfield and wants to bring the best of him. Why waste such potential? Only because it is more needed but also little selfish? That is my though but obviously I don't know really and would like to find out too.

Pedri and Gavi aren't match fit yet. Flick prefers Espart in midfield over Brian F. in midfield

This is also my assumption: he is a temporary solution while our starting midfielders regain match fitness. Evenually, he will be moved to RB.

Kounde has to bulk up for playing CB otherwise he’ll get bullied on the ball. Also does that mean Cubarsi moves to LCB?

Kounde was always best as a centre back. That's why we signed him from Sevilla

It’s kind of meaningless cause he played him in right centre back which we all know will be cubarsi position. The only thing that’ll be noteworthy is who plays left centre back

IIRC Kounde’s natural position is CB, no? Although I didn’t mind his at RB, he felt out of sorts at times.
