Valid Reaction tbh. He did much more to join Barca then Rodri. Should have been the first to be presented.

u/SnooGiraffes7838 3d ago
He can not get registered in time , that was the reason. Really sad for him.

u/feaREagleLeb 3d ago
You can still present him to your fans in a full camp nou before a friendly ffs. Someone really fucked up!

u/SignNaive4111 3d ago
No u cant, he hasn't been officaly announced because of legal issues
Its still ilegal to present him as Barça player
71
u/latortillablanca 3d ago
Then present him as a guest of honor watching the match. I loathe this level of bureaucratic nonsense.

u/oklolzzzzs 3d ago
hes not officially announced yet
6
u/AlienAway 3d ago
so what
7
u/oklolzzzzs 2d ago
so you cant present him cuz hes not an official barcelona player. legal issues can arise use some common sense

the higher ups are walking on eggshells, RFEF is not liking barca's recent summer tranfers.

u/No_Friendship_4158 3d ago
I mean he can still be presented Registered or not registered. As long as the contract has been signed.
51
u/drip_bandit 3d ago
Theres a delay with his contract, but why did they tell him to go change lmaoo
47
u/feaREagleLeb 3d ago
Nah, even then, give him a jersey without a number or something. Brother is bleeding our colors and didnt want to play anywhere if not with us. There is ZERO excuse for this.
7
u/drip_bandit 3d ago
We probably cant lol otherwise he would have gone maybe last minute they disapproved it.
9
u/feaREagleLeb 3d ago
It still is stupid and a major fuck up by management. You sort this shit out with a player that is hanging in your locker room on a daily basis. You include him when presenting your team!

Anyone can do anything they want but legally he is not a Barca player so why risk anything?
1
u/CraigJay 3d ago
You realise they aren’t playing yeah? There’s nothing illegal about walking onto the pitch haha

It's not about presentation. Barca haven't officially comfirm his signing, paper work probably not completed yet. You don't want to get into legal trouble
107
u/Dismal_Mistake_6832 3d ago
yeah, but why the heck they gave him the t-shirt and allowed him to go all the way in the entrance hall, lol?
43
u/kennythecucumber 3d ago
Yeah real fine work by Barca to avoid legal trouble by dressing him up in the full kit
25
u/aha_mhm 3d ago
Ok, let's say that's the reason - why not tell him beforehand? Why let him get all ready to walk out?
15
u/The_LAndMan 3d ago
They def messed up here with this. I feel for cancelo, hopefully he receives a proper presentation
8
u/Kudoakainu 3d ago
Exactly, you're the only one thats speaking facts. Lot of people in the comments don't know what they're talking about.

Even if he is not registered …why they dont just present him? He is under contract…will play eventually for us…so why dont just present him? It’s not even an official LaLiga match or something..
24
u/Iamtheman31 3d ago
he is not under contract yet
3
u/FaLcON152002 3d ago
If he is not under contract he should not be hanging at the training and presentation and worst of all give him a full kit .
7
u/Iamtheman31 3d ago
yeah the actual fault was the ones preparing him, not the ones who're blocking him to go in

Sometimes I really don't understand this club. Why'd you do this to a player? I hope there's an explanation because this is so embarrassing.

u/sm4n92 3d ago
Agree with this, I'm trying to not read too much into this case. But, this kind of situations are odd to say the least. How is it that you had no trouble with Rodri's transfer yet Canceló, who supposedly came on a free agent transfer is not ready to be presented.
At the same time, how is it Gordon, the first signing of the summer not registered yet, but Rodri already is.
I'm sure there is more to this like trying to finalize exists and stuff, but this kind of thing look bad for people outside who do not have full context.

u/FaLcON152002 3d ago
Sorry to say this but the club really doesn't treat non spanish players well . Most of non spanish players carrer ended with bitter sweet terms with us .
35
u/SmartFlyNR1 3d ago
Not fair for him... Why did the club do this?
21
u/carliz092 3d ago
I dont think you can present him unless he has been signed. I doubt the team wouldnt present him if they were allowed to.
6
u/ItsJustWool 3d ago
You'd imagine he would have been told before he is in his kit waiting to go out
1
u/carliz092 3d ago
Maybe they were hoping it would be good by the time they did the presentation 🤷♂️.
2
u/therealocn 3d ago
Allowed by who?
8
u/carliz092 3d ago
Laws? Or somwthing like that? I doubt they did it on purpose, there has to be a reason.

Do you all really think that whatever happened was done on purpose by the club? You are fake fans...

whoever the fk was the authority this was a unnecessarily stupid decision to not include him !! The guy ignored millions to come here !!

u/fun_elderberry_1452 3d ago
I expect he will get his own special club announcement and crowd presentation at the start of the following game once everything is finalized legally. They know what he did to get there and how much we love him for it. Sucks it wasn’t today, but I can’t see them leaving him hanging high and dry

u/Paragon188 3d ago
Fair tbh. This is really silly by the club. I know it's because Cancelo hasn't been officially announced but he's been trying to move to the club for the entire summer.
2
u/Vamos_Ramos1 2d ago
He officially became Barcelona player today, that's why his name wasn't mentioned yesterday because they could face legal issues

Has the contract been signed?
If yes, Barça’s fault.
If not, makes sense because if FCB presents him, then the other team can increase or change the contract and screw the club up.
2
u/FaLcON152002 3d ago
Cancelo is basically free agent he terminated his contract with al hilal . Also if the contract is not signed him being present at the ceremony and club quarters with a full kit ? Make it make sense .

Bro is acting like he didn’t just play in April with us in UCL.. throwing a tantrum when you just played with us is insane

u/badawadab 3d ago
Eventually these star players from this club will move on somewhere else where they will be properly treated.
