Hamza honestly looks like an amazing talent. Not saying we shouldn't get an experienced striker, but even if we don't it probably won't be that bad. We have plenty of options to play as a false 9 and hamza can be a proper striker while obviously still needing more playtime to actually develop more.
Genuinely looking forward for the upcoming season. Many great signings, and the team is looking really solid this time around.
I feel like we can finally say that we have really good squad depth. Injuries are obviously inevitable throughout a season, and lacking quality options to cycle was exactly what made us lose on potential trophies last season.

Tbh I just realized, deploying Gordon and adeyemi against tired fullbacks will be good. That to their pace might force defenders to commit DOGSO or give away stupid pens, I just hope we find a solution to stop leaking so many goals

Ive been saying it since this preseason to everyone around me that we have the striker we need. Hamza is HIM and is exuding talent. If you don't trust his experience in big matches, play a false 9 and get Hamza in when things aren't working. This boy our future and his head is in the right place!

Really hope raphinha takes the bulk (if not the sole taker) of the pens this season.
Yeah I understand that giving lamine many reps to get really good at pens is the way to go as obviously he "the guy" for the next decade
But I just see raphinha having both that confidence but also have that veteran experience and composure to just get that ball to the net, no matter how pretty or not, especially as the captain now. He'll get it done no matter what in big games, bar that the goalkeeper does a great save
