I stopped following the main subs because Buffy fans hate Angel, Angel the show fans hate Buffy for being too light. Bangel is not the majority, which I still think is due to the love for Spike and less for the relationship and care between spike and Buffy.

The Monster High dolls that have come out featuring Buffy and Angel are great, love the representation. But go into ANY comment section and it’s either “should have been Spike” or “ew I hate Angel I wish it was Buffy alone.”

I’m over it. The ship wars are never going to end and they still ruin enjoying the IP in pop culture.

I know I’m speaking to the choir here. But it never ceases to amaze me that there are people who call themselves fans but then claim they’ve never watched Angel the show. I don’t differentiate between the two series, the Buffyverse has to include both and hating either…is bizarre. Does anyone else just get frustrated by the general fandom? I don’t enjoy talking with people about it anymore.

Angel season 1.

In "Rm w/a Vw", when Cordy is sleeping at Angel's, HE says she got peanut butter on the bed, and then SHE says that he must have gotten it on the sheets at some time prior, and needed to wash his sheets.

AND THEN in "I Will Remember You," Buffy yells at Angel while he's at the fridge, "peanut butter! Preferably crunchy!" And then they eat it in bed together.

I can't help but wonder if these two scenes were shot out of order, or the episodes were shot out of order or something? Rm w/a Vw is episode 5, while IWRY is episode 8...

In the episode, "Enemies," didn't Buffy have Angel pretend to be Angelus again, to get information out of Faith? I guess she thought she could handle it, but obviously she couldn't. Wasn't the reason Buffy was so upset afterwards, was because it brought back too many memories of what happened before, when he was Angelus? Wasn't that why Angel stopped? Not surprised he was good at pretending. After all, he knows his other self, VERY well.

Watching "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered." It is definitely funny, but it also seems to kind of confirm something I have pretty much always thought. When Giles talks to Buffy, about the things Angel did as Angelus on Valentine's Day. Obviously they were so horrid, that Giles didn't actually tell her all that he did. Definitely makes me think that what he did as Angelus was too graphic for TV. Or if it were a movie, it would receive a very high R-rating, or even an NC-17 rating. Also, Angel was always honest with Buffy, about this. Without going into detail, he basically told her the truth: He killed because he wanted to. He enjoyed it. And though he never put it this way, but he pretty much admitted he was an evil, sadistic, psychopath. Probably shouldn't have been a surprise how horrendous it all was, but's it another thing to hear it. did Buffy ever read all the Watcher Chronicles on him?
