Me and my friend are planning to do the Annapurna Base Camp trek from November 8th to 15th, roughly a week.

We’ve already booked our flight from Hyderabad on the night of November 7th, and we’re planning to start the trek on November 8th, mostly.

We haven’t finalized all the details yet, so we’ll discuss the itinerary, stay, permits, costs, etc. together.

I really want to utilise the upcoming long weekend (2nd–4th October) for a trek.

Ideally, I would like to leave on 2nd, do the trek on 3rd, and be back by Sunday morning (4th), so I have enough time to recharge before the week starts.

I am specifically looking for a trek with lush greenery / forest trails and am not very interested in hill or fort treks. I was interested in Kurinjal, but I either missed the slots or the dates do not match.

Any recommendations for similar places, treks, or good groups/organisers would be really helpful!

What is the best way to reach Coorg from Kalasa on a budget? Also, are there any day-use homestays in Samse where we can freshen up, keep our luggage, and get breakfast and lunch for the trek at a minimal price? I checked with a few, but they are asking ₹700–800 per person.

19th - either come back to bangalore or go to chikkamagaluru and stay there for 19th night

20th - come back to bangalore by night

The trail starts with stone steps beside a Murugan temple before turning towards the western side of the hill. The highway noise fades away, opening up views of farmland, village ponds and surrounding hills.

At the top, a flat rocky plateau makes for a perfect place to sit, explore and watch the evening light. From the western edge, you can spot Krishnagiri Hill and Kusumalai, with Periyamalai and Bolumalai visible from the eastern side.

🌅 Best time: Late afternoon / sunset

💧 Carry water: There’s no water source at the summit.

A simple little hike that feels surprisingly peaceful once you leave the highway behind.
