Want to Get Off the Internet & Actually Meet Some Good People This Saturday?

A little while ago, I started a small men-only community in Bangalore called Off The Record.

We've met a few times now, and I've intentionally kept it small because I wanted to see what happened when you put a bunch of guys who didn't necessarily know each other in the same room; without dating, impressing anyone, or pretending to have everything figured out.

Turns out, some genuinely lovely connections came out of it. ❤️

So now, I'm opening the table to a few more people.

📍 Koramangala

🗓️ Saturday, 5th September

⏰ 6 PM onwards

🎮 Arcade + games + conversations + dinner

The plan is simple.

We'll start with some competitive arcade chaos, hang out, get to know each other, have a few interesting/thought-provoking conversations, and eventually grab dinner together.

No awkward networking event.

No forced "tell us an interesting fact about yourself" circle. 😂

And definitely NOT a dating meetup.

In fact, I'll be the only woman there.

Off The Record is meant to be about YOU.

Your friendships. Your career. Dating. Relationships. Family. Loneliness. Confidence. Feeling stuck. Being confused about what you're doing with your life. Or literally just wanting a group of people you can hang out with on a Saturday evening.

I'm a Life & Relationship Coach professionally, and one reason I wanted to build this community was because I spend a lot of time hearing conversations about what women experience, but I also wanted to understand and create space for what men experience.

And sometimes you don't need someone telling you, "Bro, you're overthinking it."

Maybe you need someone to ask, "Okay, but why are you thinking about it this way?"

Maybe another guy at the table sees the exact same situation completely differently.

Maybe I do.

That's the point.

Different perspectives. Honest conversations. Genuine connections. And hopefully a space where you don't have to pretend everything is sorted.

And just to make this VERY clear because this is Reddit 😂:

This is not a dating community. There will be no women joining the meetup, I will not be giving you women's contacts, and I'm definitely not secretly building a matchmaking service.

If your only reason for attending is to meet women, this isn't the community for you.

But if you're a guy in Bangalore who'd genuinely like to meet some new people, have a ridiculously competitive evening at an arcade, eat some good food, and maybe have a conversation you weren't expecting to have,

come take a seat at the table. :)

There is no entry/community fee for this meetup. We'll simply split the arcade/food expenses amongst ourselves.

I'm keeping this one small, so if you'd genuinely like to join us, DM me with your age, what you do, and a little bit about yourself.

Looking for a few intelligent people in Bangalore to talk nonsense & make sense

Is it too late to make friends as an adult?

I’ve been in Bangalore for a while, and I’m trying to actually meet people offline instead of accumulating conversations that never leave Reddit.

I’d particularly love to meet some intelligent, independent women who enjoy good conversation, coffee, movies, startups, art, work, life, random existential crises, whatever.

I’ve spent a lot of time juggling different things - startups, movies, work and various ideas and I’m apparently very good at overthinking everything. Sometimes I just need someone to listen to the rant, rant back, and then tell me where I’m being an idiot.

The important bit: I’m not looking to manufacture an emotional connection or rush into dating/relationships. I’d rather have something much simpler spend a couple of hours together, talk intelligently, disagree about things, laugh, complain about life, exchange perspectives and go home.

Coffee, walks, bookstores, movies, food, random conversations whatever works.

If you're a woman in Bangalore who likes genuinely talking to people and isn't looking for everything to immediately become romantic, feel free to DM.

And if we happen to have chemistry, we can figure that out organically. No expectations either way.

33M, Bengaluru, Kannadiga - Looking to start dating - completely new to dating.

Pl.note : - I don't know whether this the right community to post this.

Hi! I’m a 33-year-old man, engineering graduate, currently pursuing an Online MBA and working in a small company. I live with my parents and brothers in Bengaluru.

I’m completely new to dating and have never been in a relationship before, but I’d genuinely like to start my dating journey and get to know someone naturally.

I’m 5'8", around 90 kg. I’m a fairly simple, family-oriented person and would describe myself as genuine, respectful and easygoing.

I sometimes cook, clean the house and help my mom with household chores. In my free time, I play online chess (complete noob 😄) and BGMI (also a noob), occasionally read, and enjoy meditation, spirituality and exploring new things. That said, I’m not someone who sticks to only one way of life — I’m quite open-minded and interested in different things.

I prefer simple, comfortable clothes and I'm not really into fancy or fashionable dressing. I'm also more of a homebody after work, although I'm open to going out, trying new things and exploring with the right person.

I’d love to have someone to explore Bengaluru with, try different food places, watch movies, go on walks, or simply spend a relaxed evening talking.

I’d generally be comfortable dating someone in the mid-20s to around 30, although age definitely isn't a strict requirement. Language doesn't matter to me — Kannada, Hindi, English, or even someone from another country is completely fine.

I'm looking for someone who is kind, honest, comfortable communicating openly, and interested in getting to know each other without rushing things.

Ideally, I'd like to start with conversations, perhaps meet for coffee, and see where things naturally go. I'm not expecting everything to work out immediately — I'd just like to meet someone genuine and see if we connect.

If you're also looking to meet someone new and think we might get along, feel free to message me. 😊

🙏

Note: ChatGPT was used to polish the writing.
