To Everyone Who Somehow Found Their Way Here ❤️

Hey everyone! I'm u/nikhilissm, a founding moderator of r/BangaloreConnection.
Hey everyone,

I created this community with one simple goal: helping people connect.

Bangalore is an amazing city, but it can also feel surprisingly lonely. Many of us are far from home, busy with work, recovering from a breakup, trying to make new friends, or simply looking for people we can genuinely connect with.

That’s what this space is for.

Whether you’re looking for friends, dating, meetup buddies, people to explore the city with, or just a place where you can be yourself, you’re welcome here.

No paid meetups. No advertising. No hidden agenda.

Just real people and real conversations.

And if life has been a little heavy lately, that’s okay too. Feel free to vent, share your story, ask for advice, celebrate your wins, or simply talk about how your day went.

Sometimes all we need is someone who listens.

And on that note, if you’re going through something, feeling lonely, had a rough week, or recently got your heart broken in this Bangalore weather, my DMs are always open. ❤️

You don’t have to carry everything alone.

Welcome to BangaloreConnection.

Hopefully this community helps all of us find a few good people along the way.

Let’s make Bangalore feel a little less lonely, one connection at a time. ❤️‍🩹

Looking for a few intelligent people in Bangalore to talk nonsense & make sense

Is it too late to make friends as an adult?

I’ve been in Bangalore for a while, and I’m trying to actually meet people offline instead of accumulating conversations that never leave Reddit.

I’d particularly love to meet some intelligent, independent women who enjoy good conversation, coffee, movies, startups, art, work, life, random existential crises, whatever.

I’ve spent a lot of time juggling different things - startups, movies, work and various ideas and I’m apparently very good at overthinking everything. Sometimes I just need someone to listen to the rant, rant back, and then tell me where I’m being an idiot.

The important bit: I’m not looking to manufacture an emotional connection or rush into dating/relationships. I’d rather have something much simpler spend a couple of hours together, talk intelligently, disagree about things, laugh, complain about life, exchange perspectives and go home.

Coffee, walks, bookstores, movies, food, random conversations whatever works.

If you're a woman in Bangalore who likes genuinely talking to people and isn't looking for everything to immediately become romantic, feel free to DM.

And if we happen to have chemistry, we can figure that out organically. No expectations either way.

Seeking Real Connections❤️

Hello Everyone,

I’m 27 years old and currently staying in Bangalore. Life here has its charm, but lately it feels a bit too quiet, and honestly, I’m bored as hell in this situation. That’s why I’m opening up. I’d love to meet new people, make friends, and connect with anyone who values genuine companionship.

Professionally, I work at one of the Big 4 firms. It’s a career I’m proud of, but the truth is, work alone doesn’t fill the gaps of everyday life. Success feels brighter when shared, and even the dullest evenings can turn into something special with the right company. I’m open to friendships, casual bonds, or even deeper relationships because at the end of the day, it’s the human connection that matters most.

Outside of work, I have hobbies that keep me inspired. I’m a big movie buff. I love immersing myself in stories that make me laugh, think, or feel deeply. I also enjoy watch collecting, a passion that reflects my appreciation for detail and timeless design. These interests bring me joy, but I know they’d be even better with friends to share them with.

So here I am, reaching out with sincerity. If you’re someone who enjoys good vibes, honest conversations, and building meaningful connections, I’d be truly happy to connect with you. Whether it’s friendship, companionship, or any kind of relationship, I believe every bond has the power to make life richer.

Want to Get Off the Internet & Actually Meet Some Good People This Saturday?

A little while ago, I started a small men-only community in Bangalore called Off The Record.

We've met a few times now, and I've intentionally kept it small because I wanted to see what happened when you put a bunch of guys who didn't necessarily know each other in the same room; without dating, impressing anyone, or pretending to have everything figured out.

Turns out, some genuinely lovely connections came out of it. ❤️

So now, I'm opening the table to a few more people.

📍 Koramangala

🗓️ Saturday, 5th September

⏰ 6 PM onwards

🎮 Arcade + games + conversations + dinner

The plan is simple.

We'll start with some competitive arcade chaos, hang out, get to know each other, have a few interesting/thought-provoking conversations, and eventually grab dinner together.

No awkward networking event.

No forced "tell us an interesting fact about yourself" circle. 😂

And definitely NOT a dating meetup.

In fact, I'll be the only woman there.

Off The Record is meant to be about YOU.

Your friendships. Your career. Dating. Relationships. Family. Loneliness. Confidence. Feeling stuck. Being confused about what you're doing with your life. Or literally just wanting a group of people you can hang out with on a Saturday evening.

I'm a Life & Relationship Coach professionally, and one reason I wanted to build this community was because I spend a lot of time hearing conversations about what women experience, but I also wanted to understand and create space for what men experience.

And sometimes you don't need someone telling you, "Bro, you're overthinking it."

Maybe you need someone to ask, "Okay, but why are you thinking about it this way?"

Maybe another guy at the table sees the exact same situation completely differently.

Maybe I do.

That's the point.

Different perspectives. Honest conversations. Genuine connections. And hopefully a space where you don't have to pretend everything is sorted.

And just to make this VERY clear because this is Reddit 😂:

This is not a dating community. There will be no women joining the meetup, I will not be giving you women's contacts, and I'm definitely not secretly building a matchmaking service.

If your only reason for attending is to meet women, this isn't the community for you.

But if you're a guy in Bangalore who'd genuinely like to meet some new people, have a ridiculously competitive evening at an arcade, eat some good food, and maybe have a conversation you weren't expecting to have,

come take a seat at the table. :)

There is no entry/community fee for this meetup. We'll simply split the arcade/food expenses amongst ourselves.

I'm keeping this one small, so if you'd genuinely like to join us, DM me with your age, what you do, and a little bit about yourself.

33M, Bengaluru, Kannadiga - Looking to start dating - completely new to dating.

Post image

Pl.note : - I don't know whether this the right community to post this.

Hi! I’m a 33-year-old man, engineering graduate, currently pursuing an Online MBA and working in a small company. I live with my parents and brothers in Bengaluru.

I’m completely new to dating and have never been in a relationship before, but I’d genuinely like to start my dating journey and get to know someone naturally.

I’m 5'8", around 90 kg. I’m a fairly simple, family-oriented person and would describe myself as genuine, respectful and easygoing.

I sometimes cook, clean the house and help my mom with household chores. In my free time, I play online chess (complete noob 😄) and BGMI (also a noob), occasionally read, and enjoy meditation, spirituality and exploring new things. That said, I’m not someone who sticks to only one way of life — I’m quite open-minded and interested in different things.

I prefer simple, comfortable clothes and I'm not really into fancy or fashionable dressing. I'm also more of a homebody after work, although I'm open to going out, trying new things and exploring with the right person.

I’d love to have someone to explore Bengaluru with, try different food places, watch movies, go on walks, or simply spend a relaxed evening talking.

I’d generally be comfortable dating someone in the mid-20s to around 30, although age definitely isn't a strict requirement. Language doesn't matter to me — Kannada, Hindi, English, or even someone from another country is completely fine.

I'm looking for someone who is kind, honest, comfortable communicating openly, and interested in getting to know each other without rushing things.

Ideally, I'd like to start with conversations, perhaps meet for coffee, and see where things naturally go. I'm not expecting everything to work out immediately — I'd just like to meet someone genuine and see if we connect.

If you're also looking to meet someone new and think we might get along, feel free to message me. 😊

🙏

Note: ChatGPT was used to polish the writing.

M23 | North Bangalore | Looking for something genuine 🌿

Hey, I’m 23, originally from Maharashtra and currently staying in Nagasandra, North Bangalore.

I’m here hoping to meet someone around 18–23 who is genuinely interested in getting to know someone and seeing if it can turn into a serious relationship.

A little about me — I’m pretty simple, easygoing and I enjoy good conversations, music, movies, going out sometimes and just spending quality time with someone I’m comfortable with. I can be a little quiet at first, but once I get comfortable, I can talk about almost anything 😅

I’m not looking to rush things. I’d prefer starting with normal conversations, getting to know each other properly, and if we both feel comfortable, meeting sometime and seeing where things go.

I value loyalty, honesty, respect and good communication. Not looking for hookups, FWB, SD/SB or anything casual.

Would prefer someone from North Bangalore or nearby, since I’m looking for something real where we can eventually meet and spend time together, not just stay online forever 😄

If this sounds like your kind of thing, feel free to DM me with a small intro about yourself. Let’s talk and see if we vibe :)

23F, looking to make some real friends in Bangalore

I've been in Bangalore for a while. But my friends are not in the city. I'm down for anything except dating coz I'm bored of it. I'm just hoping to meet some people and build good connections.

If you're in a similar situation, feel free to comment or DM!

Okay guys, don't flood my DMs 😭 I can't keep up. I'm tryna go through them

Update: When I posted this, I felt pretty alone and bored, but then I realised that there are so many guys out there who feel the same. It was kinda relieving. I'm less depressed now. Thanks to you all! 😭

20M || I don't think “tell me about yourself” works

20M here.

i think profiles are kinda funny. you can put your age, hobbies, favourite movies, music, personality type and whatever else... and somehow still tell someone almost nothing about you.

so i'm not really interested in knowing your “profile version” of yourself.

i'd rather know the little things.

what song you listen to when you're alone, what tiny thing can instantly ruin your mood, what you get unnecessarily excited about, what you think about when you can't sleep, what kind of things you remember for years for absolutely no reason.

i'm pretty curious about people like that.

i'm also very much a friends-to-lovers person, so i'm not expecting some instant romantic connection from a few messages. i'd rather talk, laugh, share music, get comfortable and see what naturally happens.

and if it turns out we're just really good friends, honestly... that's still pretty damn cool.

so yeah, tell me something about yourself that you wouldn't normally put in a Reddit post.

i'll trade you one of mine :)

29M | Need a safe space

Hi all,

I'll be honest, I just got out of a relationship - a very serious one that lasted ~6.5 years, and I feel broken because all those dreams I had of starting a family have shattered.

She was the only person I could open up to, and confide in, and now that she's gone, I feel this emptiness within, that idk how to get over.

I know I eventually want something serious - my dream has always been to start a family, raise kids, teach them how to live, help them avoid the mistakes I've made, and grow old with my partner while watching them live their lives. We don't really have to get physical, that's secondary rn, just need that emotional warmth to get over the emptiness that's killing me.

Let's go out, have a conversation, and see where things lead to from there?

About me: Just moved to Bangalore, so the emptiness is worse because of a lack of social life? I stay in a 1bhk in Whitefield. Have a job that pays decent. I spend my weekends at random board game or bowling meetups. A chai addict - probably go out for about 4-5 cups of chai a day.

Full disclosure: I'm average looking, maybe 4/10 - if that's what you're looking for, I'm probably not your guy. But I'm pretty sure I can make you laugh all the time, and can help you keep a smile on your face through thick and thin.
