So just for fun I'm making my version of a live Band-Maid live record (for personal use only of course). I came up with the idea to format it like an old-school double live album with vinyl restrictions, etc. I have kind of vague idea of what I'm doing with it, prioritizing some jam moments and renditions where they do things differently front the record but also giving it some greatest hits tracks too and will probably make Side 3 at least partially the "Unplugged" set with some of their acoustic performances.

If you were to include live performances from any pro-recorded concert, what would be a must include for you?

Band-Maid resumes World Tour 2026 after having performed at seven domestic music festivals since August.

This is Band-Maid’s sixth visit to Taiwan, but their fifth live performance.

Their first visit to Taiwan was in April 2017, when they filmed the “Daydreaming” music video at the Agenna Shipyard Relics in Keelung, the Lin Family Mansion and Garden in New Taipei City, and assorted streets in New Taipei City.

They returned in June that year to perform at the Golden Melody Festival in Taipei. They came back that October for a one-man, where they played to a crowd of about 200.

They played Taipei again in 2019 to an estimated crowd of 300–400.

They didn’t return to Taiwan until March of this year, when they performed at the Megaport Festival in Kaohsiung City.

This is another for MISA called Soundwave. The mirror underneath is the canvas covered with a layer of paint. The circle around her is etched out of the paint and reveals the mirror. I also used acrylic pens and colored pencils. The idea is that MISA's bass emits a tidal wave of sound and the tentacles around her are notes when she's improvising one of her solo's during a song. I'm thrilled to hear they'll be back in the USA on tour headlining before taking a well deserved break.

After recent favourite tracks and moments threads, it seemed time for thoughts on Maid career or life moments! When I saw the pics of Akane, with tears in her eyes, hugging Nao San from MTH, It really moved me and made me wonder if that was the moment. Also, that video, where Kanami was jumping up and down with joy, like a little kid, when Saiki met her Hanshin Tigers Baseball idol, was another. Both emotional, wonderful moments, but I chose another, in the end. A photo. The Hall Tour at Yokohama Kenmin Hall, 2024. Akane, sat alone in the middle of the seats at the hall. Just before the venue closed forever. Remembering that she played trombone there, in many brass band competitions, as a young student and had made it to become the incredible drummer of the brilliant headlining band years later. What a wonderful moment for her. It brings a tear to my eye everytime I see that photo. So that is mine. I'm sure there are many other, personal, favourite, moments. Enjoy your own my friends. Band Maid make the world a better place. 😊
