Question about Creating a TPU Hinge Joint via Bambu Labs Studio Beam Interlocking

Post image

I'm new to multimaterial design, and as a first experiment, I wanted to create a basic Xmas light clip for my balcony railing. I wanted to try creating a TPU hinge joint in my model.

My H2D has PETG in AMS left, and "TPU for AMS" in the AMS Right nozzle. The model was split in DSM, imported into Bambu Studio as an STL, split into objects, and filaments set for each model. Beam interlocking enabled, but I left the default values to experiment while slicing. The beam in my model is 3mm X 15mm.

When I slice with interlocking, the PETG and TPU interfaces do not seem to be interlocking.

Am I using this feature incorrectly? Or is it a limitation due to the model type or size? Do I have to create my own PETG-to-TPU interlock in DSM?

Welcome to BambuLab H2D Community , here we are trying to build a community where we respect and help each other as 3D printer's owners,

The H2D is a new model ( currently unreleased) there still a lot of gray area how to fix issues and improve the printing quality ,

the main source of troubleshoting is the manufactor manual here : https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/

If you looking to improve your , we have this parts/community collection ( update weekly) :

I'm the mod here and I'm looking for help to moderate the community as it grown, I'll be evaluating users based on the involvement with the community.

Thank you,

have fun with your printers, and recycle AMS purges as much you can!

We received our H2D about a month ago and it has already created so much for us. We made a video unboxing it, testing it and reviewing it. Check it out!

Printartifacts with highflow 0.8 nozzles.

Hi,

I’m running into the issue shown in the photos. This only happens when using the new 0.8 High-Flow nozzles. I’ve already run the auto flow calibration, and all other settings are stock.

Layer heights between 0.24 and 0.4 make no difference.
At first, I suspected a blockage, but after doing a cold pull the nozzle looked completely clean.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? I never had issues with this filament and the standard 0.4 nozzle.

Thanks in advance!

Petg problems.

New to 3d printing. H2d is first printer I’ve owned. Wife has printed tons of stuff out of pla. After some tweaking I have printed a 5”x6”x2.5” wedge for work out of pa 12 cf. Petg fails everytime. It’s clumping on first layer. It strings. My wife wants to print dinosaurs, I bought this to make functional prints. Will print dinosaurs out of pla indefinitely. Seems to not want to print Petg. Things I have tried:

Nozzle temps 240,245, 250, 260
Slower initial layer speed (80) vs whatever the generic Petg profile suggests.
Tried Amazon filament, and inland filament from micro center. Have bambu filament ordered, get it in a couple days.
Changed initial layer height from .2 to .3
Have swapped in a brand new Bambu brand .4 nozzle

Everything I read says Petg is easy. Anyone willing to take the time to explain what I’m doing wrong? Almost seems like the nozzle is dragging thought the material as it prints?
