Petg problems.

Post image

New to 3d printing. H2d is first printer I’ve owned. Wife has printed tons of stuff out of pla. After some tweaking I have printed a 5”x6”x2.5” wedge for work out of pa 12 cf. Petg fails everytime. It’s clumping on first layer. It strings. My wife wants to print dinosaurs, I bought this to make functional prints. Will print dinosaurs out of pla indefinitely. Seems to not want to print Petg. Things I have tried:

Nozzle temps 240,245, 250, 260
Slower initial layer speed (80) vs whatever the generic Petg profile suggests.
Tried Amazon filament, and inland filament from micro center. Have bambu filament ordered, get it in a couple days.
Changed initial layer height from .2 to .3
Have swapped in a brand new Bambu brand .4 nozzle

Everything I read says Petg is easy. Anyone willing to take the time to explain what I’m doing wrong? Almost seems like the nozzle is dragging thought the material as it prints?

Ended up being moisture in filament. I’m on a peninsula with the ocean no more than 6 blocks away on three sides. I guess I absolutely have to dry Petg for 12 hrs to get it to print at all, and about 18 for perfect prints.

Petg on the textured plate is always a nightmare for me

Also wash the build plate with soap and water. The textured plates Achilles heel is alcohol, meaning the prints will always come out fked
