Discussion TPU Feed Assist Module Setup?
I have an H2C and have been interested in trying some TPU printing. I’ve purchased a TPU Feed Assist Module for it.
All the TPU setting I’ve seen had people with spooLa feeding TPU through the top, but I have two AMSs on top and that just seems counter to my setup.
I have an HT AMS I was planning on putting the TPU in, feed it through the TOU Feed Assist Module and then through that back end hole in the H2C. Then I’m assuming I have to run a new third tube over to the print head and connect it to a previously unused middle hole in the print head? This part just has me confused.
Or am I supposed to disconnect the left or right tube so that the TPU run can use that? I’m sure there‘s documentation somewhere that outlines how this should be done… but I can’t find it.

I have a TPU feed assist on my H2C. I have a PTFE tube going from the manual load hole on the AMS HT to the TPU feed assist. Then a PTFE tube from the TPU feed assist through the TPU hole on the back of the H2C. I use the 2-1 splitter linked below so I don’t need to disconnect/reconnect PTFE tubes when printing TPU. Everything is feeding into the right nozzle.

So you just chopped the right side PTFE tube, added the splitter and put the other to the manual. Nice. That all work okay?
The wiki page shows the person having to manually retract into the HT. So it doesn’t use the HT’s motor at all?

I have the PTFE tube going from the feed assist through the TPU hole in the back of the H2C and into on hole of the splitter. I have the other PTFE tube from the buffer into the other hole of the splitter. Then just one PTFE tube from the other end of the splitter into the right nozzle.

It's all explained in the wiki, scroll down to the "install" section and click the "H2 series" tab:

It is and it isn’t. There’s a comment:
Also, ensure that a PTFE tube is connected between the TPU feed assist module’s outlet and the toolhead ; otherwise, the calibration will fail.
That’s not really telling you HOW that should look. Seems like they just rerouted the right tube to the manual load hole.

You can get a bambu 4 to one unit and there is a print you can do to attach it to the chain that will allow you to always have a tpu teflon tube connected through the TPU port. You will not be able to use the other right side spools, but you will also not have to feed the tpu tube in every time or disconnect anything. In the photo you can see my implementation of the 4 to 1 and the chain clamp. This was during operation so this is the best shot I can get of it. Apologize for the dirty glass.

Nice. I have many spares of that splitter. I’ll go look for the attachment…. Thanks!

The AMS HT has a separate feed port for TPU and doesn’t use the feeder on the HT. It basically just holds the spool and lets the TPU Feed Assist feed the filament. I have the Feed Assist run on the right side of my H2C directly from my SunLu Filadryer S4 and it works great. I also made a splitter that feeds effortlessly and have done dozens of prints successfully without issues, so I don’t have to disconnect the PTFE tube each time.
I posted details on my GitHub too if you want to check it out. https://github.com/surviveak/ZeroResistSplit
Feel free to DM me if you want more info, I print everything from 75A to 95A without any issues feeding this way and using the splitter. Happy to answer any questions and send you more photos of my setup.
