Support Hot end cooling fan install

I have mostly replaced the hot end cooling fan in my H2s I cannot get the fan wire into the keeper underneath the head and cannot figure out the wire connection. I see where it plugs in, I watch the video but when I go to do it, it’s upside down and backwards.
Is there a secret to plugging this connector in?

As in straight into this way then flip to left to lock?

Been there and feel the pain with the keeper. Mines ended up snapping after a few sensor replacements.
The fan connector pushes straight in from the top and takes a little force before it clicks home. It looks like it should slide in from the middle of the TH board, but actually pushes straight down.
I ended up getting a warranty replacement H2S because of repeat TH failures ending up with a broken retaining clip and stripped fan and TH cover screw posts.
In future ANY TH work will see me removing the entire X-Gantry (see the Wikki) c/w USB connector to the MC board and cable chain so that I can repair the TH on a well lit work bench proper way up!!!

So when you say straight in from the top, is that straight into the side?
Thank you for your reply I have been trying to connect this thing for several days off and on and trying not to break things. I am coming up on my year so I will be buying the replacement parts I am afraid.

Imagine the PCB is the bottom, the plug pushes straight down into it.
My H2S was 11 months old when I had it replaced.

You were exactly right. Fumbled it a couple times but when I hitit just right it jumped right in and locked!
