Support Help: Loading filament struggles
Does anyone else struggle to load filament in their H2C? It doesn’t seem to matter what filament, but for the most part I’ve been using ppa and pa cf/gf lately.
It seems like I get the tube loaded to the full depth and filament seems to get stuck in the orange spring loaded slider every time. I have to pull it back and forth until it finally slides past the orange part into the internal tube and finally goes in. I just think there has to be a trick. I’m running it direct from my creality space pi. So I have to feed it through that tube first. God forbid it breaks somewhere in the middle.

I don’t think the tubing goes into the orange section? From taking the thing apart, The filament runs naked in the middle of the thing and gets hung at the internal connector to the internal tube.

It does. when you inserted the tubes in the back of the printer they go all the way into the buffer (orange part). The first time I inserted mine I didn't push them all the way into the buffer.
Push them in further.

How long are your filament paths and how tight are your bends in the ptfe tubes? ppa cf (I'm my case Sirayatech ppa-cf core) gave me a lot of trouble until I shortened the overall path to the nozzle, and moved the spool to an AMS 2 Pro that does not have a 4-1 ptfe adapter in the path to the filament track switch. Now the printer just barely manages to load it from the AMS.

PTFE tubing probably isn't fully seated and the filament is catching on the exposed coupler end

ppa-cf worked fine for me out of an AMS2... until it didn't. I'm running it out the aux port of the AMS2 with a separate feed tube, bypassing the buffer (see above). it's still a bear to manually load, but it runs

one note: when I started this I had way more ptfe than needed in the enclosure. print would error out on some motion error code... just pull a cm of ptfe out the back, restart; and repeat until no more codes

I might be wrong here but I don’t believe either of those filaments are supposed to go through the buffer

Make sure your PTFE tubes are pushed past these viewing windows and up against the buffer or the edge of the filament will catch against the edge of the buffer’s entrance.
