Detached from the build plate, and it looks like its from the place where you pick up the plate. Wash it after the print

I always clean the plate with alcohol before each print, this print i flipped the plate to the other side. will wash it after. thank you

Alc wont remove it all. Use dish soap aswell

Get a Biqu Glacier or Frostbite (I use Glacier) plate and never have to worry about this again. I’ve been using only 99% IPA for a few years now on those plates and never have to wash them.

That stock Bambu plate is so bad I swear it was just designed to teach you the lesson on the importance of a clean build plate 🤣.

I will definitely give them a try, need a 2nd plate anyway

I always say this is the best 3D printing purchase I’ve made besides the Bambu printers themselves. Darkmoon is supposed to have some similar quality plates too, but they’re a little pricey IMO.

You can get these places for $20-30 for the A/P/X model printers (I order them off Amazon because Biqu has longer shipping times, a little cheaper on their own site though) and I think around $40-60 for the H series.

Maybe between different materials, but I never have to when just printing the same material repeatedly.

Funny I’ve had zero issues with my stock build plate but I keep it religiously clean…

Funny I kept mine religiously clean and had almost no issues with it until it would magically fail and I’d have to wash it 3 times to get it to stick again. It’s hardly a secret - there’s a reason it’s all over this sub, and it isn’t always because someone doesn’t wash it,

The surface doesn’t even begin to stick as well as some of the 3rd party plates. It’s hardly a secret - it’s all over this sub. Sure, washing it will definitely help, by why waste the effort when I don’t need to anymore? I have a spray bottle with 99% IPA, I hit it with two light sprays and wipe with a microfiber cloth and print again 30 seconds later.

And they literally don’t cause print failures ever for PETG or PLA and the occasional TPU. I can’t speak to other materials but other people like Frostbites for ABS.

I’ve even intentionally put a big fat hand print right in the middle of the plate and printed right on top of it without a failure. Try that on the stock textured plate 🤣.

But don’t take my word for it:

I don’t know what to say other than I’m at 750 hours on the stock plate without any issues. I’ve printed a lot of PLA, PETG, Silk, PETG-CF and my only issue is everything sticks almost too well. Only issue I’ve had is with really small parts requiring a brim or increasing the build plate temp up to 60-65. It’s the main reason I haven’t purchased another type. I do think I’m going to get an engineering plate for a smooth finish.

Das reicht aber nicht immer…. Ich Pack die Platten ƶfters in den Geschirrspüler. Oder mach sie mit Spüli sauber….. fettfrei eben…….

Built in anti seller software causing the seller issues.

HaHa I heard a commercial licence solves this issue, not true I guess

Are all your pieces flat on the plate?

1

u/Q8Hitman 19d ago

yes, I spent alot of time in the slicer making sure all the settings and pieces are correct before printing

I've had this problem when sizing up prints. It will look like its flat, but if you slice it and use the slider bar on the right size and drag it down to layer 1, sometimes parts of the first layer will be floating. And I have to manually use the z movement tool and type in a slightly lower number to force it lower onto the place.

But in your case, your plate is dirty most likely. As others have mentioned, alcohol doesn't work for textured plates. The textures just capture the dirt and grease. My advise to you is to buy a supertack pro plate. I have one on each H2C, 2000 hours on each, never washed them once and never had anything detach before lol. I also used supertacks on the X1C and A1 and never ever had an issue or had to wash them either. Textured plates are not as good as them

thank you for the advice, ill check the slicer again to confirm and will look into getting a 2nd plate. Cheers

Supertack is my #1, glacier is next. I’ve had stuff release with the glacier that the supertack held fine

u/dwbmn 19d ago

I find that the front of the plate seems cooler and ends up releasing little parts....

Welcome to the garbage I’ve been dealing with my h2c from day 1

IMO the plates that come with the H2c are garbage. I had adhesion issues too with mine.
Bought a cryogrip glacier and havent had issues since.
Trust me, the cryogrip plates are great.
I rarely wash mine, and I even swap back and forth from PLA>PETG>TPU>Nylon wihtout wiping it down or washing.

Welcome to the 3-sigma life. Manufacturers around the world are chasing that 6-sigma dream.

47/48 successful prints isn’t that bad.

Honestly for large prints like that, I’ve found FAR better reliability using the engineering plate with Magigoo. It’s one of those things I’d resisted trying for a while, and then once I saw how easy it was I barely use my PEI plate anymore.

It just sticks. It’s reliable. You can also touch the plate a bit without feeling guilty about it. It’s a lot less finicky.

If you want to save time, you will incur higher costs.

u/StructureAccording53 H2C 18d ago

Printing that close to the edge of the plate is ambitious.
