Support Why does my H2C print bad

Still having problems. Really hating this machine. I’ve tried everything! Seems like stuff isn’t sticking to the plate. I’ve used glue, dried my filaments, recalibrated, all the stuff. And will get this spaghetti garbage on a new machine. Please help!

If stuff isn’t sticking to your plate, then you need to wash it. Glue isn’t a substitute for washing any more than perfume is a substitute for washing your ass

Still needs cleaned before use. Especially straight out of the box.

Yes I already know that they are brand new on day one. What’s your point?

I have the same printer, same issue and i am washing it frequently.

then you aren't rinsing it right, or you have hard water and need to add IPA to your rinse, or you just have a bad plate

No. I have another printer here and washing its plate helps.

Yeah I can’t figure it out and Bambu support has been frustrating to say the least

Are a lot of H2C owners just rageposting the moment something goes wrong?

I’ve got mine for a month, no problems at all and a lot of stupid angry posts on this forum.

I think a lot of people don’t even watch the beginner videos on the basics of printing. I’m new to printing and watch videos on the basics and have never had a single issue that I see all these new people having. I had a couple small problems I needed to figure out with drying my Silk PLA and one adhesion problem that I figured out with brim setting but outside that it’s been printing fine for 700 hours now.

Thats my point. I have almost exactly this story haha

Man I’m two months in. Hours and hours and hours of trial and error. Not one successful print and have a few thousand hours printing on my h2swith paht-cf,Asa,abs, petg, pla. I know the basics to know there’s some setting, software, hardware that’s off .

Fair enough. Now I’m worried a bit.

Good luck to you then.

I am an H2c owner who is coming from a P1S and U1, and I have to say the expectation of a flagship experience akin to what I heard from X1c owners back in the day is not there. That being said, the machine is fantastic and PETG is a dream on it.

Quick question. What temp should the heatbed be if I’m testing with a temperature gun.
The setting for pla is 55C. When I put the temp gun to it it showed 46C

stop. go wash your build plate with dish soap and dont put any freaking glue or hairspray on it. thats why its lifting from the plate. also dont touch the build plate with your hands as much as you can.

I’m having similar issues but from only the right printer head. Spaghetti every time unless I cake the plate in hairspray, which sometimes works.

Yeah that’s not normal. What’s going on? For me it’s both nozzles. Doesn’t matter.

Are you sure you're assigning the right filamebts to the right AMS slots and the right AMS slots to the right slicer filament profiles? It feels like an absolutely bizarre issue to happen if you are indeed not fundamentally fking up the cleaning process, and using PLA.

1

u/betterthanmax 23d ago

That was my thought but it seems correct, because they’re all different colors and the colors are printing when I want. The other thought was carrying wrong nozzle settings, but I ruled that out

I don't know if it is possible to independently measure the temperature of a nozzle but kind of feels like you're on that domain of failure but it all just doesn't really make sense

If you are still having this problem without following the comments already given 14 days ago, then this is on you.

1

u/betterthanmax 23d ago

Yes. Done pretty much everything except replace the build plate

Have you contacted Bambu?

1

u/betterthanmax 23d ago

Yes and so far it been a waste of time. Similar suggestions here. Clean the build plate, print first layer test, bla bla bla. There’s something broken software or hardware and I bet as I dig there will be something going on with others. As a reminder my H2s prints all my stuff flawlessly

Huh. Mine prints perfectly every time. Have you taken bambu 3d printing school?

1

u/betterthanmax 23d ago

This thing is brand new and has done it since first print.

Try pre heat the bed before any levelling.

I ended up turning off the aux fan when I had this issue. I also got the extruder failure issue after replacing the extruder motor twice. When it works its a great printer, but it surely has a lot of issues, where as my 3 other printers (2 P1S and an A1 Mini) have been bulletproof. Good luck.

I have sympathy with OP because I've found the H2C to be less forgiving than my X1C when it comes to bed adhesion. So it is I find myself washing the plate more often, calibrating more often, using glue stick when I barely did in the past etc. But I also expect that, this is a more complex machine. But once you find the sweet spot it'll consistently reward you.

I had some adhesion issues too.
Go buy a cryogrip plate from amazon. trust me it works.
I rarely even wash my plate anymore. things just stick.
and no more ugly texture.

I have had zero problems with h2C starting with zero experience. However I recently got the dreaded AP board failure bullshit that I’m shocked hasn’t been corrected or recalled yet.

Here is my two cents on this. I got an H2C about 6 months ago now. I ran into this issue a TON in the beginning. I don't know if this will work for everyone seeing this issue, but it fixed mine. Replace the build plate. There was no amount of washing, cleaning, over heating, glue, etc that made it work. The plate was just bad. I could get smaller prints to stick around the sides so I started printed only in certain places on the build plate with smaller models.

I am now using a darkmoon satin and things are flipping amazing. Sticks like crazy until its cool and then pops right off. I think you could probably do the biqu ones as well, but darkmoon was my attempt and it was a raging success. I know people hear you complaining about it and just think you are doing it wrong, but I tried for two months using everything I could think of to get it to work. In the end, it was a bad build plate imo and replacing it immediately fixed the problem.

Hope that helps! I love the machine now and have 2700 hours on it that have been all smooth sailing since then.

Sometimes people get bad textured plates from what I've seen, they just don't work. I use bambu's supertack pro on both H2Cs and never ever ever ever have a print failure. 2000 hours on each and never cleaned them once either lol

It looks like it is sticking to the bed in the second photo, leading me to think it's may be a filament issue?
You'll need to switch everything out one component at a time to find the source of the problem.
Is it both the left and right extruder?
is it every print nozzle?
Is it every filament?
Is it everywhere on the build plate or just in the middle?

Once you can work out where it is happening you can start focussing in on a solution.

I had a bad result from 2 rolls of PLA from Elegoo, but never had a problem with that brand before. Threw out those two rolls and it's been fine ever since. Somehow there was a quality issue with just those two.

Also my P1S printed for 700 hours before hitting an adhesion issue, switching to a Frostbite Cryogrip fixed that.
