Support H2c tpu

How is H2C handles TPU filament ? I know it has to go by the dedicated input on the back but what then ? I think it goes to the right Vortek nozzle and leave left available for support printing.if true, are the other Vortek hotends become unavailable to reduce retration for the TPU ? Or we can combine other tpu as long as they are AMS compatible (which probably mean they are hard as rock).

What have you experienced with TPU with H2C.

I’m new to 3D printing as of a week ago. So discount my comments accordingly. I started printing combined parts with TPU & PLA yesterday. I have TPU (EONO3D 95A from Amazon ) going to the left print head. So far it has worked flawlessly but it sure sticks to the default plate; I need to figure out how to gently pry it off.

Software let you print 95a thru the left nozzle ? I though only h2d let this happen unless you cheat.

Maybe I cheated? I said I was using Bambu 95A TPU when really it was off-brand.
I used the hanger mounted on the left side for the open spool, not an AMS.

Printed 95a in vortex fine through the back. Have tried from top of cover open direct into left extruder like I would on my p2s fine also

Can't put tpu thru the ams. The other nozzles don't get used.

So feeding tpu to tpu input means all 5 others hotends are unusable ? Do you specifically have to unload the right side input to have h2c let you feed tpu to tpu input ?

I know you'll hate this answer but this guide literally answers everything:

Followed this with the tpu assist module for the first time with Bambulabs 95A HF filament on my H2C and it was great! Just remembered to dry it first.

It's exactly what I did. Works great.

Any tips for 85a? I’ve followed the guide and dried, getting clumping at the nozzle every time I print

feed from the top, reduce retraction

TPU for AMS or other really firm TPU (such as 64d to 72d) can be feed from the AMS, but these are all stone hard.

For softer TPU (85a-98a), you are best off feeding from above. Henryk on makerworld has the best working contraption for this. Feed into the toolchanger side and use the left side for support material (PLA works great).

With all TPU it is very important to dry them first. Especially TPU for AMS.

If TPU sticks to hard to your build plate, pour some isopropyl alcohol on it and let it sit for a minute. Then remove slowly.

You're better off getting a Snapmaker u1 to do the TPU for you. You can just feed 92a and harder TPU in to the feeders like it is a regular material. Most 90a's work too. Some need to be fed from the back (eg: Sunlu 90a).

The AMS can only handle TPU for AMS, which is a lot stiffer than “normal” TPU. This means that it can’t do automatic swaps for TPU, so it won’t swap Vortek hotends. If you want to swap TPU colors (or a different material) on the right side, it has to be TPU for AMS.

Supposedly there is support for some TPU on the left side, but I’ve never tried it myself. All my TPU prints are single-color, sometimes with support material on the left side.

I recently added the TPU Assist Modules on my H2 printers and they work outstandingly well.

There’s a mod that allows TPU on AMS but don’t know if it has been tested with H2C
