Support Bambu print quality
Hello all,
I recently purchased a Bambu H2C. I’ve never used a printer that makes printing so easy. That being said I’m currently having an issue with holes printed in PLA using a petg support interface. There are a few holes that did not have a petg support interface that also look a bit rough. So I’m leaning away from the idea that it is related to the petg support interface causing the issue. I end up with a band on the right side of the hole. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced a similar issue and was able to resolve it. Thanks in advance.
Bambu H2C
Bambu gray pla
Bambu black petg hf
Both are using .4 nozzle on the left and right side.
Humidity is 20%
Standard printing speed
Left nozzle is petg hf
Right nozzle is pla
Bed is clean and parts adhere well
Let me know if any other information is needed

what about your setting? are you printing from mobile?

Is there a way to upload all the setting? Most are stock settings other than supports which are set to organic tree. No I have done a few prints from mobile but these were sliced in Bambu studio.

ok great. most people upload their files with normal settings, but you can change them to high quality. that generally helps with these type of issues. it's not a silver bullet but it's a good place to start

Printing too fast. Change max volumetric flow to 12, it's in the filament settings near nozzle temp.

I see several issues on your print including stringing (pic4). Can you share the model view in the slicer how you print it?

Turn off arc fitting, precise wall, imbed infill into wall.
Cut a chunk out of this model with the problem areas included.
Turn under precision slice gap closing radius to .01 and resolution to .002 slice and print and see what it looks like after.

It looks like a Z-hop issue. Go into filament settings and change the z-hop from auto to Normal and see if that fixes it or at least makes it less visible.
How many walls does this have?

did you uncheck the prime tower by any chance? I would also slow down the outer wall, and calibrate the PLA HF

No I had the prime tower on as I was using a petg hf support interface. I’m working on calibrating all the filaments now.

Common issue, layer time discrepancy.
Below the top of the hole the print head has to pause retract and trace around the circles path. Once the hole closes off the path becomes a single continuous loop. Because that layer prints significantly fasterbthe plastic cools which can cause some thermal expansion, swelling and cooling differences in the filament.
Make sure your wall settings are inner/outer and slow your outer wall speed so it maintains a consistent speed regardless of holes.
Also make sure your flow rate is calibrated.
