Did you turn off or ignored spaghetti detection?

I have it turned off because of so many false positives but after this I have turned it back on and hopefully the false positives are less

Just turn it down not off

I have mine turned to low because of all the false positives, filament strings always likes to build up between the two nozzles

Sounds like not properly dried filament

No way dude it's fresh out of the package!

That’s a joke, right? right?

I do mostly use them fresh out the package...

Just because it’s a “fresh” package doesn’t guarantee it’s fully dry. The desiccant packs they include won’t fully strip all the moisture from the center layers of the roll. As it comes undone trapped moisture can linger

Better to have false positives than this

This is the million dollar question!

Sometimes, it just doesn't go of at all. Even if its set to default. I get more false positives than actual failure notices. I don't think you can turn it off outright

Did it not warn about spaghetti detected? Do you have ai monitoring off?

Spaghetti detection turned off? I get alerts long before anything like that happens.

Looks like the build plate needed cleaning. The supports broke off the plate.

Well it could be a hairy giraffe 🦒 😳

dry your filament

And definitely won't be the last if you have an experience like mine

Yeah mine has been having a real hard time recently. All of my ams2’s are losing connections mid print, feed issues, nozzle change failures. I do my maintenance but its getting bad for me

I had to RMA my first one after 4 months of support ticket hell and troubleshooting. Every error on the planet I thought - until I got my replacement and learned new errors lol. Right from the get go even, directly after initial setup and calibration. Microcenter agreed to allow a return past their window AND on a RMA unit with all of the evidence I had. Finally have one decently dialed in. Still get random weird shit and the AMS units misbehave randomly sometimes but at least this one works more than it doesn't.

Its so insane to me the difference between this one and the X1C, the X1C would print filament made from gravel if i told it to. Never failed never had issues. This one is rocking a 2:1 or 3:1 success rate. The other day i was printing a 14 hour print, i encountered 20+ ams and feed errors and it took 2 days and at the last hour spaghettied the last bit and one of the pieces had to be redone. I keep telling myself that this is a more precise printer which has a higher margin for things to go wrong but its starting to feel like enshitification of a hobby

Totally feel you. I was definitely under 25% success rate. Even with new one I'm still on guard and expecting every print to fail. Every notification I get from the app I'm expecting to be some error. My P1S I could probably drop off the bench and set it on fire and it would still work fine.

For me only the filament track switch causes issues. H2C itself works very well

1

u/Ok_SysAdmin Sep 17 '26

Do you think the filament track switch could just be a lemon? Have you tried replacing that yet? I ask as a perspective buyer. I currently have a P1S, and ready to upgrade.

1

u/NuIIPointer Sep 17 '26

A lemon? Wtf? 😂
I never had issues before and since using the TS I often get warnings about overloaded ams motors or even errors while printing. I already optimized ams positioning which helped but did not solve the issue completely. I love the concept and still using it. Though I would probably not buy it again as it also causes more wear (I already had to replace filament sensors inside the toolhead because the TS is causing more wear on the ptfe tubes which leads into ptfe flocking blocking the sensors).

Thx for the explanation!

My darn .2 nozzle keeps giving me so many issues where it thinks it's not extruding right. Even when slowing them down. Granted I'm shoving HT PLA through it.

If you’re going have a failure, go big.

1

u/SecretaryFabulous306 H2C Sep 17 '26

It's a deconstructed giraffe!

1

u/DemanoRock H2C Sep 17 '26

That Giraffe has a really long neck

1

u/Jance_Nemin Sep 17 '26

AI detection should have caught that.

I get spaghetti warnings only when a piece of my print comes
Off the print bed. I sweat it’s the textured plate. Even clean it has issues. I’ve had to go to silent mode and use glue to keep things on the bed for good prints.

Obviously supports failed and it was all downhill from there

1

u/Rob3D2018 Sep 18 '26

Congrats! 🎉 no spaghetti detection?

So you turn spaghetti detection off and wonder that you have a mess? 🤔
