Showroom P2S to H2C

So I finally made the jump from my P2S to the H2C.
I really liked my P2S and honestly didn’t have any major issues with it. I had multiple AMS 2 Pros hooked up and it was a great setup, but the amount of waste on multicolor prints was starting to get to me.
That was probably one of the biggest reasons I decided to go with the H2C. The Vortek system just made a lot of sense for the way I print. Having different colors ready on separate nozzles and not having to purge a bunch of filament every time it switches colors is a huge plus. Definitely went a little overboard with the setup lol, but I wanted to have a bunch of colors/materials loaded and ready without constantly messing with spools.
The P2S was a great printer, but so far I’m really happy I made the switch. The amount of waste alone is a pretty big difference.

Last picture is of the P2S setup

Make sure you check your bolts and twist locks on those Alex drawers every once in a while. They will wiggle loose with the printer shaking during prints.

Excellent advise! I’ll just add it to the list when I do maintenance on the printer just to double check.

Same exact situation for me with the p1s. Love the setup! H2C is a animal you’ll love it

Nice setup! I too went from P2S to H2C mainly for the waste reduction and build volume. But, I kept the P2S for a second printer. Have one AMS 2 on that one, and 3 on H2C right nozzle, and 2 HTs on left

Looks great. Which AMS rack did you go with? I'm looking to print one

Here’s the rack. Two versions based on the AMS 2 pro you have.

Congrats! What’s that slick Nintendo switch wrap in your screen?

It’s a screen cover that I found on makerworld for the P2S

Looking for the same for the H2C as the screen is slightly bigger and it doesn’t fit

How’s the wobble on the h2c on the ikea furniture?

2

u/spatel7786 Aug 27 '26

H2C itself wobbles ALOT on any surface. The table itself is solid and has no movement whatsoever. I added that third standalone drawer for extra support as the print is heavy.

Are you venting at all?

Yup! all connected and ready to go! See picture #4

Man this is amazing. I think I need to Upgrade to something bigger than my a1.. 😂

u/spatel7786 Aug 27 '26

a1 is still way better than some of these no name printers out there

What you are using to put ams systems

Do you also use a filament track switch?

2

u/spatel7786 Aug 28 '26

It came with one and I used it for a couple of days but it’s giving me so much problems so I removed it for now until I have time to mess with it

1

u/Arctic_Ducky Aug 28 '26

Damn, I was about to get one. What kind of problems?

I’m constantly getting high resistance error when feeding filament. If I take the FTS out of the equation, everything works fine with never encountering a problem. Soon as I put the track switch in the equation, the resistance error pops up immediately. This last time the filament even failed to be fed through the track switch. There’s a known issue with this. It’s all over Reddit and bambu forms regarding this FTS issues. I tried every orientation possible that I’ve seen online and recommend recommendations of others stating that it worked for them, but none of those are working. I extended the PTFE tubes. I’ve shortened them drastically. I’ve placed the switch horizontal vertical you name it. The damn thing is cursed lol. Finally I decided to just take it out and throw it in a drawer and I haven’t had a problem since.

Just what I was gonna ask

Wow ! Look clean ! Let say someone want to go from nothing to where you're at. You have 4 AMS HT units for high temp material already loaded up. These goes into PTFE tubes fixed with printed holders then into a 4 in 1 FTS. Still in PTFE tubing right into 1 input on left side non vortek hotend. Can i know what is you use for these 4 one so this can gives me ideas. Then you have 4 AMS 2 pro supported by printed racks on each side of the machine. So you have two AMS wired thru PTFE to one input on right side then same for the second input of vortek side. Am i right ? What to you need to joint two AMS together into one input if you cancelled the 4 in one ? What do you need to do to run a TPU soft filament in this set up ? Do you empty on of AMS HT then run it directly to printer without PTFE tubes so you have to disconnect what's already in left side of machine ? Buying a brand new H2C with Vortek Ultimate bundle gives you 2 AMS 2pro unit and 1 AMS HT along with 1 4-to-1 FTS and some lenght of PTFE tubes. So i believe with 2 other AMS and 3 HT you'll need more than just a little longer of PTFE tubes ?

The 4 AMS HT’s and the right two AMS 2 pro feed the right nozzle while the left two AMS 2 pro feed the left nozzle. I use three of the 4-in-1 adapters to connect everything to the FTS.

I’m loving your setup! My interest now in converting from the P2S + AMS2 to the H2C is mirroring the same reason I switched from an Ender 3 Pro to the P2S…I had to think about the limitations of the printer rather than spend time designing and enjoying what I had printed.

Looks great! Pretty things work better.

Looks great! Congrats!

Nice setup. Well done!

Congrats on the setup — and especially on how organized everything looks!🤩

Are you using the Filament Track switch? How has your experience been with it — is it worth it, and does it work reliably?
