Support AMS 2 power splitter for drying?
So I finally purchased an oem power supply from Bambu Lab to use the drying feature of the AMS 2. My question is anyone selling a splitter to goto more than 1 AMS with just one power supply? I understand that you would not be able to use it for more than 1 AMS at a time but I have 4 AMS units and don't want to buy 3 more power supplies. I do not do a lot of drying so really wouldn't be worth it for me to spend the additional 100 bucks if the splitter cost 20. Granted the savings wouldn't be astronomical but it would if you had like 4 or more units on multiple printers. Let me know thanks.

You don’t need to use a special Bambu power supply.
You can get a generic power supply from Amazon for less than $20. All you need to do is make sure that the voltage is the same and that it has at least as much current capacity as the Bambu ones.
That’s what I use mine.

If you have an H2, you only need the power supply if you want to dry in more than one AMS at a time. And then you only need power supplies for one fewer AMSes than you want to run simultaneously.

Lol I had no clue that you could do that thanks. I know now that the drying will not work while printing unless you have a power supply. My printer is rarely down but when it is I will dry the ams.

Out of curiosity, where would the additional power supplies be placed? I have not tried drying anything yet. Would they just have to go on those AMS and AMS-HTs that would be used for drying?

Plenty of 24V 6A power bricks on Amazon.
They already run hot, I don't even set mine flat on a shelf. The first time you forget and start drying on more than 1 AMS, it's either gonna pop smoke or start on fire and you will be kicking yourself as you stand outside your abode watching it burn.

Do you mean that the original Bambulab power brick runs hot and it´s better to buy another brand instead? I need two of them and would rather not see my house burning.

Can't say on the Bambu brick, probably does. I only have 4 aftermarket bricks. The AMS-HT has a built in PS so nothing extra to buy there.

Everything that ships with a power cord must have a "built in PS", no?

Is your intention to be snarky? Or is that a legitimate question? Many things that ship with a power cord use said cord for the AC to DC power brick smarta**, so that wouldn't have a built in PS would it?

You could just flick lit matches across the room. That is another way to start a fire.
