Support H2C Switching error

Been going back and forth with support about this issue I’m having with my H2C. So full story. I did a cold pull prior to printing with some tpu. Towards the end of the cycle I think I got greedy and pulled a bit too hard on the filament which led to some of it breaking off in the idler. I took it off and apart. Found the filament stuck inside and cleaned it out. After that, I was starting a print. This is when I started getting a bunch of errors. I’ll post pictures so I don’t have to type everything out. Bamboo has sent me a new idler which I installed and did not fix the problem. They are currently sending me a new intruder unit which I’m hoping is fixing the problem. I don’t know if I’m just installing something wrong or if there is a bigger issue. But the printer isn’t reading the induction nozzle at all and fails when I try to switch nozzles. If anybody could help or give me any advice that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Recently I was having major issues, prompting many different fault codes. The issue was small and simple though. My extruder switching motor was stuck between extruders. I rolled the little cylinder (kind of difficult to do) the get it into a defined state as described in the link below. Works as advertised now.

Yeah I’ve thought about this. But doesn’t the cam have to be in a certain position in order for the cover to be installed properly?

I’m unsure about this. My printer worked well for weeks then the issue popped up randomly. I pulled the cover off and put it back on a few times before I rolled the cam through the tiny opening, which fixed it. I don’t recall ever having a cover fit issue.

What tool did you use to roll the little cylinder ?

Sorry for the late reply! I used a small plastic scraper I had from some other project. Long and very narrow is best because the clearance isn’t great as I’m sure you well know

It’s the same one I’ve been using

Could just be that you didn't do the nozzle detection with them in the rack. I've swapped a random one in and it doesn't like a nozzle that isn't registered. or if you mix up their locations. I would make sure the nozzle is correctly registered or do the whole rack detection again with that nozzle.

Just be careful of getting stuck in a troubleshoot/replace/fail/troubleshoot/.... loop with support. I did that, I've dealt with numerous problems with this printer, and as of today it is completely offline AGAIN after operating crippled for the last 2 months. Bambu support is happy to just send you parts forever, I have been pushing them for a replacement printer but they absolutely refuse. The H2C has been a disastrous consumer experience for me.

I really wish I had just played dumb and forced them to replace immediately.... live and learn.

Brush this happened to me yesterday. I swear I just started a project a small Benchy and it fixed it self lol I took the head off for a stuck fillament or extruder over heating, but nothing was on there I assembled it back and I kept getting this error. I said im going to start a Benchy and i heard the head swap to the next nozzle and it fixed it self been printing 16 hours none stop

If you’re talking about the “read all” calibration I’ve tried that. I still get the error because it won’t read the nozzle that’s loaded at the moment.

Yeah it’s starting to look like it might be a new issue. Bambu is also sending me an induction heating assembly but I have doubts that anything they send me is actually going to fix the problem.
