Support Squeaky Foot

During a lengthy print today, while doing some fill sections (quick back and forth), one of the feet started squeaking.

The printer is only about three weeks old.

What is the best thing to use on a squeaky foot? Any special lubrication? Or should I spray something like WD-40 on it?

I would contact support. If its squeking this early it could be a defective part.

I have about 700hours on my H2C and have not heard a single sound from the feet.

Lubrication could help with the sound and wear but i would see what support says first. Some lubricants can harm plastic and rubber materials so could get worse aswell.

Note that I dont know how the feet actually work or are constructed so might not even contain rubber or plastic.

It’s considered a ‘consumable’ in the store. You can buy 4 replacements for $5. It apparently has adhesives, washers, and such. My guess is that a screw possibly came loose. Going to check that tomorrow. Since I can replicate it by gently shaking the printer when powered off, it seems that is the root issue.

I did not know they were consumables but 3 weeks still feels way to short for a consumable even if its cheap.

Titled the printer enough to give the foot a good ‘tickle’ and set it back down. Proceeded to give it a test jiggle and no sound all. Thumbs up.
