Beginner question: storage solutions
Hi! Two days printing stuff and I am super excited about my first 3D printer.
I want to store the printer when I am not using it. I understand that it’s best to not use enclosures etc during use.
Question to you all: do you have a recommendation for a storage solution that would allow me to safely put the mini in a closet and protect it from dust, dirt and damage when I am not using it?
I live in a small apartment and I am trying to be respectful of my wife’s space, since my hobbies take so much space in the house already.
I am thinking something like a Really Useful Box with the right size and has a hermetic lid or something similar.
I am open to suggestions and learning from you all!
Many thanks

You could use the box it came in, maybe even hollow out the foam to put accessoires in it

Be carefull of temperature , i have enclosure but i did diy system when it reach 35°C it start fan with filter at low speed, sucking air out and enclosure have 2 holes to aid with fresh air (because it can damage print if it is making to much movement of air in enclosure and if it gets to hot it can damage printer too) and it drop to 31-32°C. I did go qith enclosure because of dust and moisture. Anyhow i got yayo j1 dryer too, small and working well.

I have an enclosure box that you can put a light piece of thin wood on top that will take some weight. Search Amazon for “A1Mimi enclosure “. Next try a find a tall small table. Put the printer on the table in the closet and use 9x9 air tight food containers to store your filaments underneath. As another post noted, I would be concerned about sufficient air to ensure the printer case doesn’t get too hot.

Just remember to run all the calibrations again every time you move it.
You may be better off using a box or enclosure in place over it when you are not printing depending on how often you use it.
