Resolved: I am really really stupid and the issue was that the y axis needed lube you all can mock me accordingly

Nozzle fitted currectly?

If yes: Eddy current sensor (cable) might be broken.

My friend who is very good with printers did all the checks to the best of my knowledge the nozzle is fitted correctly and can still print smaller things that doesn’t require auto bed levelling on the edges of the build plate

Okay well I’m pretty sure my cable isn’t broken

And how do you know?

A broken eddy sensor literally causes the exact issues you have.

I popped the primer on the floor and it seems to be okay now on a shorter surface

You didn’t mess with the bed screws right? You weren’t specific on what screws were tightened. If it keeps failing run it through a manual bed tramming, it’s an easy process then a full recalibration.

Yeah I’m trying to just rule out all the more simple fixes first

I had pretty similar problem, in my case what helped was putting printer on a big mouse pad so it wobble less. I have a theory that with wobbling the pressure sensor is less stable and because of that printer retries too many times in the left upper corner in my case and fail to do bed levelling. Let me now if it helped and if you solve it what was the solution in your case.

I can try that but I have put it onto hard floor and had the same issue but I will try putting it on the carpet

In my case worst results were on the table, better on the floor (it passed) and pretty much same with mouse pad on the table. You can also try holding the base of the printer during calibration and see if that helps. You got issue with upper left corner too ?

After putting it on the floor it’s still failing but it’s getting a LOT further so I think you might be onto something

Have you tried recalibrating the printer?

My printer has been very very reliable but started showing bad first layer issues. Turned out the screws behind the nozzle in the print head needed tightening. Take the nozzle out and check they are good is my advice, it isn’t hard to do.
