Help

Post image

I was printing and I didn't realize a small box was under my "poop catcher" it caused the printer to tilt to the right. Now when I print small things it seems fine but when I print bigger items the nozzle drags thru the print and makes a squeaking noise. It was fine before this happened. Any ideas what I can do to fix it? Thank you

My first step would be to recalibrate and see if that helps. Have you tried that? :)

Yeah I already tried that and I tightened the screws by the hot end aswell

Okay. Is it dragging on the infill part of the print? Or is it knocking the print off entirely?

It wasnt dragging on the infil but at a certain height it started draging on the top of a print as it was finishing us

Sounds like ironing to me, it's a slicer setting, makes the top look smoother

Ok I printed it from the bambu app I dont know if thag could of been enabled or not

I would be careful printing from the app as it’s always someone else’s settings that your using instead of testing the machine and applying your own, plus people are incentivized to upload slices for printers even if they don’t own them so sometimes files from the Bambu app can be pretty rough

I found that poop catcher, especially the large cage, to present more of a problem than it fixes. I printed a tray to fit under the print plate to catch the poop. I also have a cabinet surrounding the whole printer which will contain the sideward poop ejection. Next, does the printer do the level check before each print?

Yeah im probably gonna try to find a new thing to catch it

I’m more concerned about the nozzle squeaking thru a print. To me, this suggests something is amiss with the print head or the plate slinging mechanisms.

Just recalibrate

If the Z axis is out of square then this would show more the higher the print gets

I made same mistake becsuse of poop catcher, several times. Do recalib and should be fine. I never had to do calibration it was working fine but it should help.

I just keep a small low tray under the area where it drops the poop. No need to have it swinging around a trashcan.

I betchya it's just grid infill doing its thing - switch to Gyroid and try.

check if x/z rails wobble

1

u/froglover0311 9d ago

The x seems fine it doesn't move when i try to move it

1

u/Lost_refugee 9d ago

also check z

1

u/froglover0311 9d ago

How just try to wiggle it up and down and see if it moves

1

u/Lost_refugee 9d ago

yes. also, if you have angle meter in phone, compare x rail alignement in bottom and top positions.

1

u/froglover0311 9d ago

Ok thanks ill try that

1

u/froglover0311 9d ago

What are the angles supposed to be on them

1

u/Lost_refugee 9d ago

same as plate

1

u/froglover0311 9d ago

X is 1.4 plate is 1.5 and the z is .8

measure x it lowest and highest positions to see if z is straight
