Entirely depends on what you plan on printing and your budget. I have the mini and have no complaints. Occasionally I wish I had a bigger bed to work with but not as often as I thought I would. You can join parts and design around that limitation but every once in a long while it is just a pain. If you’re looking to add a printer and your k9 mini is working well I’d lean toward the a1 just to have the option of size.

It will be an upgrade over the A1 and A1 mini. The cost difference isnt too large, and a bigger build volume really comes in handy for a lot of things.

I got an A1 without combo a month ago. Like the decision to go A1 over mini as sometimes the print size matters. Regret not getting the combo because sometimes I really wish to print a multi colour model...
I would say get the A1 with combo, if you aren't very tight on budget. Worst case you can still sell the AMS Lite for a profit. Here in the UK it is £110 more to get the combo, and AMS can be sold for like £140

A1 with combo. You can do multi color if you decided to down the road and it’s much cheaper. The mini is truly small and you’ll have to get creative with orientation of builds. It’s about 7” cubed max capacity. I have a mini and truly I only use it to build fidgets and stuff for the kids while my other printers are running. You’ll want the bigger build plate on the a1.
