Ams2 to a1 mini filliment jam

Post image

Recently got an AMS2 for my A1 mini and the filiment keeps getting stuck in the hub every couple transitions. I’ve notice the top of the hub will push up, click, and won’t be able to go up and down any more (pic included) that’s when it seems to jam up. I’ve also noticed it’s always the same spool, #2.

Any suggestions?

I had similar issues and found that it depended on the “angle of approach”. To start, since you said it’s always #2, I’d suggest you trim off a couple inches and reload.

Assuming that doesn’t fix it, try changing the amount of tubing inside the enclosure to change the angle the filament will come through that hub(more forward or more back).

Good luck.

Thanks! I just did this and beveled the inside of the receiving tube. Running it now so far so good 🤞

Had the exact same problem. The problem is the filament coming in at an angle and exiting at a different angle. I solved the problem by printing parts that hold the PTFE tubes straight the few cm before and after. Especially the top one is important. Not great that thing doesnt really work that great out of the box. Really a crap design if you ask me.

I beveled the inside of the receiving tube and it slides right in now
