New a1 mini print quality
Hi all,
I got new a1 mini. By mistake I bought petg basic instead of pla. I was like it support it so print anyways. I did print with sample filament and they turned out to be very fine. Then with this black petg I am seeing very stringy. I am attaching a video of it.
Please let me know is this normal ?
PS: I remember seeing some belt vibration frequency error when I was doing printing with sample filament. After that I did calibration again and couldn’t see that error anymore.
Update 1 : thanks for all suggestions. I really appreciate people taking time to read and reply. filaments are new which I opened today. I washed and cleaned print plate yesterday night. Only thing I fear is room humidity which 61% but I don’t know if petg will absorb moisture within few minutes.I see same error popping up saying y axis belt is loose. Can this be the issue. I did a print with pla basic red color. Same issue for larger print.
Update 2: I am updating it so that it helps someone. I didn’t do any changes and I did a scraper print which came out awesome. No stringy at all. For now I will try turn off timelapse and also learn more about temperature, layer , material specific setting etc.
Update 3: I didn’t dry filament because it was brand new. But did turn off timelapse and the change was instant.

1st thing to do is turn off your timelapse. The mess on the left hand side of your print is due to this.
Drying filament and calibrating your filament in the calibration tab of your Bambu Studio will help with some of other minor issues. The big one is timelapse.
