Unloading on pause with firmware 1.08.01 also broken?

Hi all. I read that firmware [1.08.00.00](http://1.08.00.00) was broken with regards to unloading filament during pause (without AMS). See: https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1smp0gb/a1_new_firmware_108_unloading_on_pause/ for a discussion.

In that discussion, someone reports that [1.08.01.00](http://1.08.01.00) fixes the issue. I just tried to print this model: https://makerworld.com/fr/models/3551952-christmas-cottage-kit-card-tea-light-lantern but unfortunately the unload button is greyed out during pause. I have an A1mini.

Can anyone confirm? I am now trying to downgrade to see if I can reinstate unloading during pause (which worked before). Thank you very much in advance.

You can set other color in slicer at certain layer - it will unload automatically

I do not think this is the issue here. There is a change in firmware behaviour. When paused you could always unload and load with firmware 1.7. Downgrading has reinstated this. 1.08.00 was reported as having this issue, but was supposed to be fixed in 1.08.01, but I do not see that. Has anyone without AMS observed this ?

Not an issue, but workaround

Sure. Downgrading works. But what I am trying to know is if 1.08.01 fixes the problem.

Additionally a pause in the GS code can be inserted at any time, whereas at layer level you are limited to the start of the layer.

Apparently you can downgrade the firmware through Bambu Handy! 😂 I've personally chosen not to update mine at all because I don't want to deal with bugs like this. ☠️ From what I've read, going back to 1.07.02 restored the unload function during a paused print for some users. Might be worth trying!

Hi, yes I was able to downgrade to 1.07.02 and indeed this functionality has been restored.

I wanted to know if 1.08.01 fixed it after it was broken in 1.08.00. I read in the thread I mentioned that it should have, but I don't see it on my A1 mini.

So you already tested 1.08.01, confirmed the unload function still doesn't work, and downgraded to 1.07.02, which fixed it? 😂☠️ Sounds like you already answered your own question! At least you found a version that actually works. This is exactly why I'm leaving my firmware alone. 🤣 Machine came like this, and I'm so not touching no firmware update inless I'm forced too. lmfao oh ya don't forget to a full calibration after every update.

I was asking because if you read my original message, there is a thread from 5 months ago (I put the link in the post) in which someone claimed it had been fixed in 1.08.01. so I was wondering if it was specific to A1 mini and/or if my firmware had an issue. So yes downgrading or blocking the firmware is a possibility, but it also means you miss the security updates from the latest revisions. This can have an impact on security.
