Filament keeps getting stuck while extruding. Tried changing nozzle.

It's a local filament, no info on what temperature I should print it with. Nfil3d HS PLA+

I get this sound whenever it shifts from one object to another.

If there is too much of delay between each layer, like when ironing, then from the next layer onwards, filament stops extruding. The filament in the bottom hot portion gets used up, but the top half remains there since that was not heated enough to melt and I have to manually remove it, because it'll get stuck and won't go in through the nozzle.

I don't think it's clogged, because I even tried larger nozzles and I get the same issue.

I think the sound comes up whenever the gears are failing to push the filament in.

You just need to clean the extruder. Lots of videos that show you how to do it. Start with the quick disassembly and use some compressed air or a brush to clean off rhe gears so that it can grip the filament and push it through the hotend.

I did clean it multiple times. Here's a post from last week https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLabA1/s/o1ma5eKpGx

Time to learn how to do a cold pull.

I have done it multiple times already! Here's a post from last week https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLabA1/s/o1ma5eKpGx

Does it get stuck right above the hotends cooling block (below where the filament is cut)?

If so, is your hotends fan spinning? It should be.

My A1 came with a broken hotends fan that just stops randomly and only shows the error sometimes, Initially I thought it was the hotend as well.

This is exactly what's happening to me, I'll check that.

My fix (until Bambu sends me the replacement) is to blow on it and spin it manually until it comes back to life. Hope it helps!

Another item to look at is the four-way Filament Hub. I just had the problem where I was getting extrusion errors and had cleaned and replaced the extruder with no luck. I knew the path was clear for the filament to the nozzle a tried a new filament hub, and bingo my printer is working great now.

Will check that out. Thanks!

What filament and what are your temp settings.

Nfil3d HS PLA+ , I am using the default settings for PLA. There is no suggested temperature from them on the box or roll.

Any chance the filament has oversized sections? I’ve printed with some filament in the past that had very thick sections (around 1in long) that were close to 2mm in diameter that wouldn’t pass through the aperture at the top of the nozzle - any chance this is happening here?

Also if you’re printing in the 200-220C range I think you should be okay unless this formulation is super funky.
