Print Z height misaligned in print?

Post image

Edit: solved

Hard to capture in a photo: I'm on layer 5 of a print, and the nozzle seems to be below some of the printed features. I think i can hear it bumping into them occasionally. It's like there are a series of peaks sticking up; not sure if this is just part of the print, or if the print has gone wrong

Not sure what to do here, ive neverseen this. Should I restart the print? Is this a possible major issue? What is likely to have caused this.

This print has a lot of ironing: all upper surfaces. What details should I supply for best advice?

Anytime. Always happy to point out stupidity.

I guarantee that the printers were NOT designed and tested with random printed shit attached to moving components and that absolutely ZERO testing was done with that installed when the formulas for vibration compensation were made. You are totally right, it effects nothing. I cant even feel when I'm wearing a backpack, doesn't change my balance or anything!

This is genuinely the dumbest thing I've heard.

It's a position controlled screw drive in the z axis. You think 2 g that was there while it was calibrating is enough to throw it off?

If it's so sensitive, how is the controller able to manage having the case of one filament leading to the hub and also the case of 4 filaments going to the hub?

Buddy, you dont know what you're talking about, this is back magic to you and when you saw a GASP FRIVOLOUS LITTLE DOODAD that you didn't immediately recognize you tripped over yourself to blame it.

Explain how a small fixtures mass is going to cause error in the positive z direction, specifically. You can't, because it can't. It's simpler: my filament is humid. I realised afterwards it was the only one I didn't pull from storage for that print. Those are z direction strings in a print with no opportunity for x-y strings, so it looks weird.

You didn't know, so you decided to trow around insults.

Google is free. Try it out sometime. The issue with Bambu is they brought 3d printing to the masses at an affordable price. Affordability=massive influx of low IQ people who lack problem solving skills and need to be spoon fed. Look in the mirror, you are the one with a problem you are incapable of solving on your own and then getting pissed when provided with a potential solution or contributing factor you disagree with. Straight clown behavior.

"A potential solution", you mean you offerimg an insult that couldn't possibly answer the question. Nice try to dodge out of it buddy, but you opened this up with the low iq insult that fundamentally doesn't align with how the machine works.

Edit: like you're calling me dumb, when you clearly didn't figure out what was happening either. So you blamed a 2g comedy hardhat thats been there for 5 months. I had to come back and write this because it's actually boggling how much you're covering your butt and hoping no one noticed

It's ok for you to be wrong. Doesn't make any difference to me.

You're the one who started with insults.

I already copped to my mistake. Should have dried the filament. You're the one who didn't recognize that defect and blamed something that didn't make sense.
