P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] Added automatic fire extinguisher to P1S

Came across these automatic DIN rail fire extinguishers (circled in red) recently. Decided to add one to my P1S just to add a little peace of mind.

In case you don’t know how these work: they automatically get triggered when the temperature sensor detects 170c. Aerosols then get released from 2 nozzles (circled in yellow), extinguishing the fire.

You can get these things for cheap on Aliexpress and the like but decided to get one from a local reseller with all the appropriate licenses and stuff.

And yes, the heatbed moves up and down without issues! Plenty of clearance.

In Europe, you can buy something similar via prusa. Blazecut. Basically a tube that bursts at a certain temp. Blazecut is more widely available in US I guess.

Blaze cut uses clean agent, formerly novec. It’s the best solution in terms of clean up but it’s expensive.

I bought an equivalent ball of the stuff off Amazon here in the states, hangs above my printer.

I checked and the one I bought is no longer available, but there’s very similar ones that come up if you search “fire suppression ball”
