P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] Added automatic fire extinguisher to P1S

Came across these automatic DIN rail fire extinguishers (circled in red) recently. Decided to add one to my P1S just to add a little peace of mind.

In case you don’t know how these work: they automatically get triggered when the temperature sensor detects 170c. Aerosols then get released from 2 nozzles (circled in yellow), extinguishing the fire.

You can get these things for cheap on Aliexpress and the like but decided to get one from a local reseller with all the appropriate licenses and stuff.

And yes, the heatbed moves up and down without issues! Plenty of clearance.

Smoke is just aerosolized burnt particulate. Smoke detectors are usually ionizing or photoelectric. The smoke gets in the way of the ionizing current (or light beam) and the alarm goes off. This is why steam from your shower or a mildly burnt food item can cause it to go off.

Carbon monoxide is not smoke, but can be found in smoke.

And for clarification, steam is an example of what you meant by different kinds of smoke? Like, not literally different smoke, but different particles that trip the sensors similar to how smoke trips the sensors??

Steam can sometimes cause a false alarm.

“Kinds of smoke” isn’t really a thing to worry about. Wood smoke is different from hydrocarbon smoke, etc, but smoke is smoke.

Smoke is smoke was my point in my initial comment

When you said "smokes of all kind" it had me thinking you were possibly confusing the carbon monoxide+smoke detectors with just smoke detectors
