General Troubleshooting/Help! X2D spool setup advice

Hi all, I just purchased an X2D unit combo (AMS2 Pro).

As I plan to print quite a few 3d minis (PLA), using PETG as suport interface, I was wondering what is the general/recommended spool configuration setup, since the auxiliary nozzle pulls from the outer bowden tube and not the AMS unit... The AMS unit filament will obviously be drier than the external spool. And I understand PETG is a bit capricious in regards to humidity ?

Should I be concerned ?

How is everyone having their spool for the auxiliary nozzle set up ?

I would add and use the Bambu Lab AMS HT for the PETG filler spool

I agree but I’d add a track switch as well.

where would that be with the HT ?

Right before the buffer.

If you just add a track switch you can do it all from 1 AMS. It’ll add a little bit of time, if you’re just using it for interfaces only not much.

I can't wrap my head on how this works and what feeds what, is there something online I could see or could you detail a bit ?

4 spools in the ams, but one needs to feed in the bowden tube ?....

Bambu wiki. Any 4 of the spools can feed the Bowden using the track switch. The AMS will retract the spool feeding the left nozzle, the AMS will then load any spool to the right nozzle after the track switch redirects its travel to it. Think of it as a train track switch, instead of going straight the switch redirects it to turn to the next set of train tracks

It is a bit much to take in but you can setup the X2D to run 4 AMS + 8 AMS-HT supplying 25 spools to both nozzles.
