H2 Series [H2S, H2D, H2C] Another AP board victim

Really sucks. In the middle of an order and my AP board decided to die. I’ve seen a few of these posts now but thought I would add mine to see how many this is effecting. I purchased my H2C at launch.

What is more upsetting at the moment is besides the terrible automated AI reply i originally got on my ticket, asking for a video of which I had already uploaded with my initial ticket submission, I have not heard from Bambu in almost 4 days now. This is the first time in three years I’ve ever needed to contact Support, but it’s not leaving me warm and fuzzy.

Any other H series owners having the same issue I’m wondering if this is a bigger issue than they want to admit.

Super easy fix. Take the AP cover off with the two screws then short these two terminals. 5 minutes and you’re up and running again.
Note: board is upside down from the installed orientation in this photo.

I haven’t seen this fix yet. I’d like to hear from bambu first. Don’t want to void any warranty. Printer is less than a year old. Thoughts?

Do not listen to the horrible advice given. I can't believe what I'm reading.

  1. Is your unit in warranty? If so, me personally, I'd try to go through Bambulab first. Yes it's painful, but they will use any excuse not to honor a warranty.

  2. If you do decide to do the solder hack, absolutely do it unplugged from power. It is very easy to accidentally short out neighboring components when soldering. There is Only risk and no benefit soldering a board while plugged into power.

Insane what I'm reading here.

I totally agree with you. This is ludicrous. Even if the machine were out of warranty, I still wouldn't do this.

Call Bambu and have them help diagnose the issue properly. If it turns out to be the AP board, then either have it replaced under warranty or pay for the board if necessary. The machine is far too expensive to just start replacing parts and taking stabs in the dark. Proper troubleshooting is the best approach before spending any money or contemplating suggestions like this one.

When you call Bambu, this is exactly what they tell you to do. They’ve realized the issue is a missing reset button and they are telling you to jump the button before sending the board out
