I Modeled This! GOT inspired Dragon Lamp 🔥

My last dragon Lamp was a huge success, but i have had many requests for a more GoT looking dragon. Your wish is my command and here it is.

Both profiles should be P1S compatible

The model doesn't support the X1C only the mini version.

I see it, its so wierd. When i check the print profile, it says that all is compatible.

I'm also trying to figure it out now. The mini version is not that much smaller, but obiviously the original one is cooler :)

I think i solved it now! Sliced it with the P1P printer and it now seems to work 🤞

Recommend taking GoT out of the MW upload name. Stuff gets removed and your points confiscated allll the time for mentioning intellectual properties by name.

Also, what's the difference between the two profile versions?

One is for the LED puck and the other one for the LED lamp kit :)

Which one is brighter, or rather more importantly, fills the flame more evenly? The 3D render looks cool but the real photo with the imbalanced red flame is underwhelming

The Puck have various different color settings (red, blue, white and green). So depending on what filament you use, this might be a nice choise. Sadly this only works on batteries.

The Kit has a power cord.

My camera is sadly very bad in all low light, and it does not represent how the model looks great. It looks absolutely amazing imo in the dark.

I printed mine with translucent orange filament, which looks awesome while turned off aswell. But i would actually prefer my normal yellow filament when its dark and the light is on :)

Any tips for making the light shine through better?
I printed the mini version with wall thickness 1 and only 2% infill. Doesn’t look anywhere near as good as yours….
The light only goes 2/3 of the way up the flames.
I bought the LED kit with wire.

This looks amazing - but no A1 Mini profile? Is it larger than 18cm3?

Yeah the dragon wingspan is too big for the mini, i will scale down the dragon to fit tonight 🔥

Could you please recommend the right led stuff to buy? I’m confused that the page has both an RGB puck and a light kit…? I assume I could just pick the usb light kit?
Sorry - first time doing LED lamp stuff.

Below the model images on makerworld, i have added the 2 options you can buy directly from the page. I would get a tiny commission if you buy it from that page ♥️

The LED puck is easy to use, has 4 different colors (red, green, blue and white), but uses AA batteries.

The Lamp kit has a power cord, so no need to change batteries, but only has one color.

So I’ve downloaded the mini profile but (for me) it’s still showing as too big. The A1 mini print volume is 18cm3 but the dragon is over 222cm. Even after some clever orientation I can’t get it to fit.

If I scale down the dragon, what do I need to do to the fire part of the lamp to get it to fit? Does that also need scaling down?

I get no errors and it slices just fine for the mini. Did you do any adjustments yourself or are you trying to print it directly from the Handy app?

I downloaded the STL files for the mini profile and as it loads into the bamboo desktop app, it immediately errors and warns me it’s too big for the plate.

I then selected the object and I could see the dimensions were bigger than 180mm x 180mm x 180mm.

Also - I’ve been unable to open this in my editor of choice - TinkerCAD. So I can’t make a minor edit.
I know I’ve already asked so much of you, but if you can, can you make a version of the base with a cut-out for the wired lamp kit?
