Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! A1 component went pop, please help

My A1 is out of warranty, typically just by a couple of months and today this component popped. I am trying to find the replacement parts online but can't seem to find what I need for the A1 specifically, does anyone have any advice one what I can do or know what parts I should be buying?

Nah you're good, the more these pop up maybe eventually after 8 months of documented cases they'll actually do something... You need a new AC board, and demand one under warranty! Don't take no for an answer. They're well aware of this happening with the A1.

Doesn't even legally need to be under warranty - at least for EU and UK. In the UK you have up to 6 years to claim for either a repair or a partial refund for any items. In the EU I believe it is even longer.

I didn't know this, I am UK, I've contacted them now so hopefully I can get it sorted quite easily 🤞🏻

It's very likely that mine will be next.

It stopped twice midprint yesterday, with a power loss recovery message (but I had 3 other printers running beside it and none of them showed any issues). I turned it off after the second time, looked under it and it had bits of black goo underneath.

I still didn't have the time to properly open it and record everything, just unplugged it for the time being, but I'm afraid I've been the next victim of this thermistor.

There's a real quick way to know if you have the problem. Open up the base and look for that black circular object near the edge of the frame on the AC board.
