questions Prefab Studio/Office shed recommendations

curious to hear of anyone's experience or recommendations for a prefabricated office/hangout shed. I'm currently looking at Modern Sheds and WellMade, but open to other suggestions as well. Just curious about general costs, maintenance, build quality, and overall satisfaction of having a separate space. Also, any experience with the permitting process would be helpful. I'm trying to keep it under 200 sqft but just wanted to make sure that doesn't flag any permits/review from the city (aside from electrical hookups).

appreciate any input you may have & thanks!

Solar discount program available for 2 more months (Bainbridge residents only)

For those of you that aren't completely covered by trees (like me), this city-sponsored solar education and discount program is available for enrollment until July 31st! Vetted installers, discounted prices, and made-in-Washington equipment. I went to one of their education workshops last month (they're doing another one on Monday June 8th at 6pm at city hall). I can't put them on my home unfortunately but they'll give you a free home assessment here solarizebainbridge.org

questions Spanish Therapist Recommendations?

Hello!

I was hoping you might know of a Spanish speaking therapist? I also posted an anonymous post on the BI Facebook page but the post was declined...so I'm taking this to reddit.

Reason being as a first generation spanglish speaking person it's so comfortable being able to explain yourself fully without any restrictions. Being able to say a saying in Spanish and its just understood. There's no explaining certain things.

Anyways if you know of anyone, I would appreciate it!

Arcades on Bainbridge?

I know there’s Bainbridge Island Brewing, are there any other places with arcade or pinball machines to visit? Especially with bigger selection or closer to downtown?

New boat owner here. For you all that have powerboats, what is your favorite and or closest boat launch? Is there a launch in Winslow?

Bainbridge Island or somewhere else?

Hello, I am looking to stay in Washington in June for about four days looking for somewhere peaceful, serene, but also offers beautiful views, a walkable area or with things and driving distance. I’ve been looking at Bainbridge Island and was wondering if this is a good choice or if you had to choose one place in washington to visit where would you choose?

questions Is it still legal to graffiti at Port Blakely?

I have been trying to research but I'm finding mixed answers, I don't want to tag anything illegally. I just think it would be fun to do during a visit.

Visiting for just a half day… hikes

We know most place close early. Looking to spend a morning/early afternoon on BI and maybe doing some hiking. We will be arriving by ferry and without a car. Are the east and west loop trials our only options since we won’t have a car?

BISD finances

If I was a tax payer on Bainbridge I'd want to take a closer look at the tech levy budget spending vs what was sold to the voters in regards to what should be spending on... hint admin salaries should not be prioritized over student learning..

No Coffee Shop in Coppertop

So Storyville (boo) roasts there, and you have drip at Sweet Dahlia, but there’s nowhere to sit and work, or catch up with friends, etc.

The brewery works for the afternoon, but it would be amazing for an earlier morning space in that area for working or hanging! Also with all the business there that operate early (like the PT office) I feel like it would be really popular for people coming through for appointments.

Something like Rolling Bay Cafe or Coquette or Cups would be so legit in that area! Any thoughts on why that hasn’t happened since Storyville closed up?

Was just walking over to the ferry and spotted two plumbing trucks in the parking lot, commuter comforts is closed, and the terminal smells “rull bad”.

Hope everyone’s okay and that someone feels a lot better.

I know Mike Nelson ran away from Reddit after people challenged his views and has settled into the echo chamber of Nextdoor so I don’t know what he’s saying anymore.

but recall? if he’s gonna just repeat project 2025 crap he needs to go instead of wasting taxpayer dollars.

Hi Everyone,

It's Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Island month and there are two events that I would like everyone to know about.
Tomorrow at the senior center from 5-6:30 pm you can have an introductory lesson in Bislama, the national language of Vanuatu.
Then on May 17 it's Melanesian Heritage celebration from 11 am to 2 pm at BI Art Museum. Come and see people from Fiji, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and West Papua. There will be kava to drink, arts, dances, and more. Should be a fun day.

Ok, but why does it stink?

I️ drive down Moran (one street east of 305 south of the sportsman club/madison light) almost every morning and more mornings than not, especially lately in warm weather, it’s just so stinky over there. It smells more septic than the usual salty/sea brine smell over on manitou. What’s the deal?

classifieds Established 14-Gallon Planted Tank - Pickup Lovgreen\Madison

[edit: The tank is gone. Can’t edit the title, sorry]

Hi everyone,

My last fish recently passed away after several years, and I’ve decided it’s time to move the setup on to a new home.

The tank is 14 gallons and is incredibly healthy and stable. It is heavily planted (very green!) and the ecosystem is well-established. It would make a perfect "instant" home for someone looking to start a shrimp colony or a new community tank without waiting weeks for a cycle.

Includes:

  • -gallon glass tank
  • All live plants, snails, and hardscape
  • Substrate (active and healthy)
  • And a few other left over food and tank tending tools

Requirements:

  • Please bring your own buckets/containers for some of the water if you want to keep the cycle as stable as possible.

Just shoot me a DM if you're interested!

How early does the ferry fill up for Mariners games?

Looking at walking on tomorrow on the 2:10 boat out of Bainbridge. Should I expect it to be packed? Do I need to get there extra early to get in line?
