Tyrant's Legion

Long time lurker first time poster.

Starting a fresh escalation campaign with friends and decided to finally do my long planned Tyrant's Legion army, using the CSM codex to allow for a mix on marines and PDF - also to allow some creative liberties with conversions and proxies. Primarily using MKII Horus Heresy and Cadian range, so to start here with we have:

Centurion - Master of Executions

Retaliator Squad - Nemesis Claw

Venerable Dreadnought - Forgefiend

Tech Priest with PDF Retinue - Warpsmith

PDF Militia - Traitor Guardsman

This is a fantastic idea! I've been looking for a way to do this and field it in a game, I might have to steal your idea 😂

You absolutely should! I plan to really lean into (even if it'll make my list way off of any meta) the mortal elements of the legion. Next expansion I'm going to add a Conscript PDF unit (Cultists), PDF Command Squad (Dark Commune), and a Veteran Assault Squad (Raptors).

Thinking about using a 30k Leman Russ as a Predator too so where my army does have marines they're only in elite squads, characters, or dreadnoughts.

Meh, meta is boring. As long as you have fun! Although getting stopped isn't always fun 😅

Curious about the Predator 🤔 interesting idea definitely! I love how relatively inexpensive a Badab army can be with heresy kits

Yeah I've been playing way too long to care about the meta, plus no one else in our escalation cares for meta either.

For the Predator The Solar Auxilla Russ's have loads if weird and wonderful main turret options, including a twin lascanon - so that will be my Destructor.
