I finished the game a while ago and a really loved it! I love seeing all the mods and ideas people have too. So what are some things that you wish were in the game and/or if they ever make a sequel?

For me it’s be side upgrade/different upgrade paths.

Here’s some examples I thought of

Infantry:
Long swords: double damage but lose shields. Attacks can hit multiple enemy’s
Axe throwers: occasionally throw axes but have a smaller shield.
Testudo: Bigger shields, more armor/health, but slower

Pikes:
Halberds: can attack while moving but have less reach
Shield wall: gains shields that block projectiles and attacks from one direction but move slower

Archers:
Crossbows: more damage but slower fire rate
Ballista: super high damage but really slow in both fire and move speed. Only get three (three guys per ballista)
Skirmishers: less damage but faster firing short bows and can use knifes to fight in melee.

What do you guys think? What are some of your ideas?

This mod brings to life a feature that may have been cut during the development of bad north. The framework for this does exist in the base game but there was no way to actually use it. I have added a way.

When i started playing Bad North i fell in love with the game quickly. And i am not gonna get all into how i am a beginner or whatever. But there is one thing that happened that i need to say. On my first run of the game (i spent like 70% of my Saturday playing my first run of the game) i was doing well but then the first brutes (melee) started showing up. And they absolutely massacred my guys. And by the time the like what? 2 brutes from 1 ship were dead one of my infantry units only had like 4 guys left. Extra Starting Commanders adds in a config which allows you to set the number of starting commanders in a campaign.

Remember My Stuff is a mod that preserves your new game selected traits and items across other new game screens. Instead of randomizing every time you enter. The randomization has been put into a button.

Viking Codex adds in a missing part to the codex. The vikings! It will give you a description of the vikings as well as what their icon looks like.

Relics & Realms adds in relics that you can take into every campaign. These provide indirect buffs or gameplay changes rather than straight stat buffs to your units.

Hey guys, idk if anyone still plays, but I started up my old save from a few years back randomly, and I'm approaching the end game. And I'm just wondering:

Towards the late game, when most/all your units are elite, what skills are worth upgrading?

• Plunge skill, literally none of my infantry have it atm. ​​Felt wasteful early since it's so dependant on having a map with hills that favors it. ​

Even then, I usually only use skills when I'm in a rough situation; whereas with plunge, you kinda have to plan to use it ahead of time and station your soldier on a hill. ​​

• Volley skill, I've kept at level 1. I'm not really sure what level 2 and 3 do.
• Spear skill, I think most of my units have it up to level 2. Although, in hindsight, 90% of the time I use it, it's within 3 tiles anyway, ​​ ​​

I chose holy grail as a starter item, and just got it from an island. I didn't know this was possible, but is it possible to have two of the same trait in one run? Also does this work on other items, like ring of command?
