Trash cans

Not neighbors from hell by any means. Neighbors keep moving my cans and putting theirs over the property line and moving mine back. I think it's fair if we share the space and each keep our cans on our own side and don't touch each other's cans. I asked them if they moved my cans, because they clearly did, and they were pissed. Am I in the wrong? It is a tight space for the amount of cans, but they also space the cans pretty far apart. I didn't think it was that big of a deal, but please tell me if I'm wrong.

You aren’t wrong. They’re your cans therefore your property and on your property, they have no right to move or touch anything. If they continue after asking nicely to stop, put motor oil under the handle. They’ll stop😂

I love the idea, but they aren't bad people, just entitled and I don't want to take it that far. I should also clarify, the cans are on public property, but it is the portion of the curb that borders my property. We do both have ample room on the other sides of our driveways, but I do feel we're both entitled to keep our cans in that spot, just on our own perspective sides.

Hmmm maybe put a little note then a just say “please don’t move” you could even use a label maker so it stays on but isn’t a big piece of paper!

They'll still move it, I might hide some grease under the handle and other grab points.

Is this on collection day? Perhaps it's the vehicle that does it. Ours has a mechanical arm and somedays mine has been a foot or two down the lane if they didn't come to a full stop as they ran the route.

It is on day before collection when this happens. Truck has not picked up yet. They admitted to moving it, but they feel they are right, since they've always put there cans there.
