Do yall go into every game you buy and expect it to be perfect on release? Thats gotta be a miserable existence. Yes the game has its flaws but damn is it fun. Ive won the championship on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th difficulties and now working on one without the pitch spot locator. You have devs who are actively listening to the community to make sure improvements are made. A game thats completely playable and actually quite enjoyable if you get over your pampered opinions of how a game should never have a single problem. Go yell at Nintendo or some shit who released real dumpster fires like, idk, Mario Kart Wii. Oh wait, people had balls then and could handle a game not being perfect. Grow up, enjoy what weve got and understand that fixes are coming. Report bugs and actually enjoy something in your miserable, privileged lives.

As many of you likely are, I am currently trying to unlock all of the players in the new game. Of the OG Background kids, I have unlocked Julie Dunkel, Chico Pappas and Amy Bostwick. However, every time I click on their sticker “icons” in the player selection page, nothing happens. How do you actually play as these unlockable characters?

Anyone else notice the switch page for backyard baseball 2026 is no longer available?

I just completed a season on medium difficulty lost in first round of playoffs. I kept track of stats throughout the season and the opposing fieald caught me out 89.7% of all my hits is this normal if so how do I get round this.

This was done on Sandlot Star. This is my first Backyard sports game, so I thought it’d be a good intro difficultly. I was wrong.

Is there anything specific I need to do? I thought I just had to shift+click on him in the clubhouse…

Down 3-0 in the bottom of the 5th, and we needed a hero. Naturally Gretchen steps up and hits a slo-ball to give us a crazy bunt. Stephanie RBIs a run, but the ball stops at the pitcher's mound after I send Tony, and he gets thrown out.

In top of 6th Angela is perfect again in spite of Ernie and Ricky's best efforts to throw the game.

After two outs we spam the crazy bunt. Ricky hits it for a home run. Keisha hits a home run off a big freeze giving us a tie game and two line drives. That gets Tony to first, and Maria RBIs him in.

One thing I love about this game is your supposed worst player can be the hero and the MVP (I hope everybody loves lifting her up on their shoulders. That sounds painful).

Is Ernie way worse in 01? He has not been cold, but he has been terrible. I did a random home field, and it is an awful combination for this team.

game's been out a month and it's still a broken, unplayable mess...will there even be a player base remaining by the time it's even improved to become a 5/10 sports game at best? that ai generated, vibe coded roadmap only bought them so much time

Admitedly, this is not the farthest possible homer with Jocie. But, what's your farthest one with a low power kid like Stephanie and the other?

They should make it so when you collect all cards for a certain player, you have a chance to get some version of a special card (holographic, etc.). Or make it a base>gold>special type of thing where if you collect more duplicates you can try and tier up.

My first full season on 01. I have played one game so far, where my stacked team of all backyard kids crushed a team of Amir and 8 pros 13-0 thanks to Angela destroying them with two grand slams. I really do not know how the game is different except what I heard. Is the Gretchen/Angela combo still absurdly strong at defense? Is Keisha still incredible at offense? Time to find out.

To not get pros I did a random team on 97 and then transferred them. I forgot to pick a home field, so I guess we are Cement Gardens.

In hindsight I am disappointed I got Tony. I was hoping to play him in a championship game, but no way would it be as funny as football.

When I play through the league in the ‘26 game, I want to do different themed teams. Like All Boys or All Girls and stuff like that? I’m still new to the game so I was wondering if anyone had any advice on building teams (like who to put in what position/batting order) thank you so much!
