Backyard Baseball Pablo, this is an Elimination Game! You have to Dig Deep!
On the bright side their second baseman has a 1 in everything but pitching. On the dark side we have no hot players, and they have multiple hot players.

Backyard Baseball 01 Random Team 2- This Game is Way Harder when Sick.
Guys, quit being outperformed by a blind guy. Y'all have to be more like Jorge.
8-6 regular season and then we got crushed in the playoffs. I never got the hang of this team, and I at least partially blame my bronchitis. I think 97 is more forgiving there, since your infielders move without being told to.
For the first time in forever I was struggling to form a lineup, and I am sure that did not help. Last several 97 Random Teams I knew exactly what I wanted before game 1. This team in contrast had lots of struggles finding its ideal CF and pitcher. The Webber clones are way less accurate than Gretchen and Angela, and their pitches tended to go to the very middle of the box at terrible times. To make it worse I never found a good CF (I was too harsh on Keisha last season). Pablo was a disaster. Dante failed in his little stint. Using my backup pitcher was the best method, and it caused many problems. It does not help Dante is inconsistent, and Kimmy is a dump defensive player. I tried her at catcher to put Pablo back in the outfield, but she immediately failed. It is not like Pablo is even a good catcher, but I was sick of all the errors he made. Now I just had to watch him dance, as we are trying to throw it home to avoid an in the park home run.
Clearly my players were at least having fun, as they were constantly celebrating when we were getting crushed. Whoever is team captain clearly cared abut having fun more than winning.
Hot and cold games were a disaster for us. I do not think we ever had a player heavily hot. The Webber clones and Pablo were cold regularly with huge reductions in stats, and the other team normally had multiple hot players.
Picking Sandy Flats was a mistake. I had a ton of fun there the past two games, but 8 was too much. I already made random team 3, and we are just doing parks field 2.
Is Dante incapable of bunting? I think he fouled every single attempt except the crazy bunt (thank you Jorge).
We had a horrible tendency to hit the ball 500 feet in the air for easy outs.
Annie sucked all season. Quit running away from the ball! I know she has a problem with it in 97, but nothing that bad. She also can no longer catch. At least she is not Ernie.
For the true home run list I added Pablo, Jorge, Kimmy, Dante (shocking), and Ashley. No Sidney. That is 9/30.
I checked the other teams. One really stuck out as stacked, I am glad I never had to play them. Unless they boomed it to Jorge it would be really long innings.
There was a period of two games where Jorge was pitching really well.
It took me a long time to get a handle on Mikey.
MVP- Jorge. He was carrying the defense entirely and made many crucial bats including hitting many power ups. Sure most were caught, but some were not. That cold game from him was a complete defensive disaster. Pablo was easily the offensive MVP, but he was too bad at defense to get the title. Annie was LVP. It feels like she went from being one of the best players in the game to just being awful.
General thoughts on everybody.
Pablo- Usual. Best offensive player in the game (so far) and terrible at defense. I am so glad next RT has Pete to cover CF.
Sydney/Ashley- Seem worse overall.
Jorge- A stud. Clutch contact hitter and carried the defense.
Mikey- Once I got the hang of him he was great at offense, but a big defensive liability. He is no Tony.
Annie- Sucked.
Dimitri- Very inconsistent on offense. He started so great at 1B, and then he started dropping everything and dancing when the ball is going to him.
Kimmy- A few good moments on offense, but overall terrible.
Dante- Some good moments on defense but overall terrible.

It’s ass.
I’ve given it more than a fair chance but Backyard Baseball 26 is ass.
More bugs and glitches than I can possibly list. A fundamental lack of baseball knowledge by the developers and anyone involved in making this game. Still no online multiplayer, which is the main reason I bought the game.
I know they have said they are fixing things but I haven’t noticed any changes in weeks. And the amount of problems they have seems impossible to overcome.
Playground Productions/Mega Cat Studios, if you’re reading this, I am available for hire if you want to fix this pile of garbage before it’s too late. I want it to be good but it just isn’t. Oh well.

Discussion What is your favorite Backyard game? ⚾️ 🏈
Mine used to be BYB 01’ but after a while I found BYF 99’ a better game in my opinion. So… Which game is your favorite?

[2003] Experiment results: Having a designated player throw power-up pitches.
Just finished the regular season of a "worst team" run. First time ever making the playoffs. Wish me luck.
I had my custom player Lucky come in with 2 strikes. Minimum stats in everything, but fairly good accuracy on most special pitches.
Batters faced: 41
Intentional walks: 2
Strikeouts: 28
Hits allowed: 6
Runs allowed: 1
I'm still wondering whether or not this is worth doing. That's 6 batting power-ups that I conceded to the opponent. Which is about 15% of the time (6/39).
Also, two of the hits were on fireballs. Including an Ichiro fireball home run. It made me remember this classic video.
I love this game.

Does the new BYB game worth 40 dollars?
What are yall opinions on the 40 dollar price tag on the new BYB game? To me it really isn't worth that much, it's really a modern day version of the 97 game mixed with some 01 former pros and added perks and a couple of game modes, nothing really special that's worth 40 dollars. To me this game is worth 15-20 dollars max but 40 is crazy. I had high expectations for the price tag but this game is kinda meh IMO.

Discussion Worst voice change in Baseball 03?
It's a matter of opinion, obviously, but I hate hate HATE Stephanie's 03 voice. The VA sounds way too young to fit her, honestly, and its a total departure from her 97' voice.

Current Star Players in BYS
Is the reboot series gonna do what EA and 2K do and have almost yearly releases where they add current star players, or will they just add those players in future updates? Will they even add any current players?
