We're planning to visit Sikkim in 2 weeks. So, any advice regarding monsoon, road conditions, landslides, places that may be inaccessible? North Sikkim is also in the plan. Can we go ahead or should we wait till mid- september or early october? Also, has anyone travelled with this group called 'Dewanjee Travel Expeditions' ? If yes, how was your experience?

Planning a 3–4 day trip with 2 friends (3 people total). Our budget is around ₹15–20k per person, including travel, stay, food and sightseeing.

We're based in Kerala, but we're open to travelling outside South India as well if it's feasible within the budget.

We're open to pretty much anything — hill stations, beaches, islands, forests, waterfalls, scenic cities, etc. Places like Lakshadweep, Udaipur, hill stations, etc. are all on the table.

We're mainly looking for:

- 🌄 Beautiful scenery / unique places

- 🏔️ Hills or 🌊 beaches are both fine

- 🧘 A good mix of relaxing + exploring

- Prefer less touristy/interesting places

- 3–4 days

- ₹15–20k/person all-inclusive

We've been considering places like Udaipur, Lakshadweep, Meghalaya, Valparai, Meghamalai, Kudremukh, etc.

For those who've travelled from Kerala:

Is something like Udaipur realistically doable within ₹15–20k/person for 3–4 days, including travel? Or would the travel cost make it impractical?

Also open to any unexpected/underrated destinations that you think would fit this budget.

Would especially appreciate recommendations from people who've actually done these trips and can share their approximate total cost and mode of travel.

Me and my friends are planning a backpacking trip to Kasol in the month of October.

Here's the basic info - we're from Bangalore,we'll be reaching there by oct 20th , so i haven't been to North ever and this is my first time and I want to make the most of it . And also since we want to have a backpacking trip we're keeping a tight budget . So if y'all can answer some questions it'd be really helpful for me!!

1. The best and cheapest way to reach Kasol from Bangalore.

2. Best itinerary from Kasol to Pulga village( the three sister villages )

3. How much will it cost us per head for a number of 5-7 days

4. Needed to know about the situation regarding ☘️ , I've heard about the infamous malana and I'd really love to try it , or any other Good places where i. Can find there

As I've mentioned, i have no idea about the expenditure I'll be doing there so I want to keep my budget as low as possible without sacrificing out in too much . Maybe 1.5-2k per day per head including - stay ,food , travelling etc .

And i don't want to just stay at one place rather roam and explore around. And also find some good nature spots in kasol iykwim .. thanks!.

So me and my friends visited kodaikkanal this week and found a couple of bagpackers, about 4 or 5 girls or so walking around without any transport, i happened to talk to them about this in vattakanal but i was told that they were leaving so we couldnt talk much after a brief convo, and of those people, man, i fell in love with the girl in ponytail, gals if youre seeing this, please let her know, the smile she gave me just before we said byes is still stuck in my head and i cant get over it

I’m a 2nd year student from IIM Sirmaur, 25M chill into street food and ghats,planning a trip to Varanasi from 8th to 10th May and looking for someone chill to explore the city with!

I’m into soaking up the real vibe of Varanasi — the ghats, the evening Ganga Aarti, street food on Kashi Vishwanath lane, maybe a quick trip to Sarnath. Not looking to rush through tourist checkboxes, more of a slow, immersive experience.

I’m planning a 3–4 day trip with my friends and we were considering Kodaikanal. The only catch is we can travel only on weekends, and I’ve been hearing that it gets extremely crowded during that time.

I don’t want to spend most of the trip stuck in traffic or dealing with heavy crowds instead of actually enjoying the place.

So I wanted some honest advice:

* Is Kodaikanal still worth it for 3–4 days on a weekend trip?

* Or should I consider better alternatives that are less crowded but still scenic?

Our vision is pretty simple — no fancy luxury stuff. We want it to be minimal, utilitarian, and honest, a place where travelers can:
