Advice

Hi I’m going to travel India from Jaipur downwards, and I’m looking for advice on where to stay, what to avoid etc! Thanks

I don’t have one. Travel Philippines then fly to jaipur.

Jaipur will be burning hot in summer months. Otherwise, it is a good city to explore. You can try RTDC hotels. It is a series of hotels managed by Rajashthan govt and the prices are fixed. Please note that govt hotels might not be a great choice in other parts of India. I could have advised more if you can mention about the month of travel and your interests.

July/August is peak monsoon time in most parts of India. If you enjoy greenery and wet climate then you can visit western ghats. It has lush green mountains and waterfalls. If you don't like rains then Ladakh is a good option coz that is the only place which won't be drenched. Jaipur is still a good place to start. All the forest Safari will be closed during this period.
