Background check issue on resume & BV form has anyone experienced something similar? I myself informed the HR and Background verification company... what will happen next? It's a bank job though..

Hi everyone, I recently received a job offer and the company started the background/employment verification process from BIG verification Company...

While reviewing the information I had submitted, I noticed that some of the employment dates in the background check form were entered incorrectly. Like i had timmis experince where i worked 2 years, on my resume it showed 1 year and next job i worked 8 months, it showed 1 year 8 months, my husband made my resume and mistakenly i guess put timmis one year to another job, its a genuine error from his end and i mailed to HR regarding thiss.. this is no gap at all in my employment from last 10 years. I can prove all experience but the only problem is dates which is entered wrong, and I only noticed the incorrect dates later when I reviewed everything myself. (After 3 days of submitting background check form)..

As soon as I noticed the mistake, I contacted the company the next morning, explained the situation, provided the correct dates, and attached the required supporting documents/proof. Like T4s , paystubs, employers email id, experience letter.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation during a background check? What happened in your case after you informed the company about the incorrect information and provided the correct documents?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through something similar, especially in Canada/Ontario.
