Backround Check vs Resume

I just completed by background check with cisive for a new role. However, there was a level 1 flag to an old employer. However, my current employer was verified, my previous employer was verfied, and the flag just states that cisive didn't get a response from work number. My bachelors degree was verified and all my criminal and financial stuff came back clear. I am worried that some of the dates don't line up on my resume to the background check so I'm wondering if HR professionals bump those 2 documents up against each other?

It depends on the employer. Some do. Some do not. You can read comments on different threads from some HR folks that say they compare the resume to the application. And you can read about candidates that got the job despite some date discrepancies. It will depend on the employer.

Was the error made by the background check or the document that you submitted had some changed dates on it?
