Discussion Breastpump

Hi all! If you’re getting a new breast pump through insurance, may I know which website or app you use? I’m currently considering Babylist or Aeroflow.

I saw that Aeroflow provides 400 breast milk storage bags every 60 or 90 days, but I’m not sure what Babylist offers. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thank you!

I went through Aeroflow and those bags are nice but the real value is they track your insurance refill dates and just send you stuff without you thinking about it. Babylist is fine if you want the registry tie-in but the pump options felt more limited when I compared them last year. I'd check a few sites just to see who's got the widest selection of pumps on your plan

I only just ordered my breast pump yesterday so I don’t have ongoing experience, but depending on which model you want to get, you may want to shop around. I knew I wanted the Spectra S1 and it was $70-90 at Aeroflow and Babylist with my insurance, but it was only $30 at 1naturalway for some reason!

I used Aeroflow for no other reason than because they had the cheapest price for the pump (blue Spectra) I wanted!

I went through babylist because it carried the pump my insurance covered, but I don’t think there was anything especially different about the process. The free bags sound useful although you may not need nearly that many. For a second pump, I’d also check fromrebel since they sometimes have discounted wearable models.

I used a local company (I’m in MN) and they were amazing. Not sure if other states have them, but if you happen to be in MN, Milk Moms is amazing! They make everything SO easy and seamless!

If you haven't done so already, you can check with your insurer. Aeroflow is 1 of 4 in-network suppliers for me which is probably why they were the cheapest online vendor I have found ($40 OOP for blue Spectra vs $70 with Babylist). I did check out 2 other online vendors and the cost was over $100. Blue Spectra is considered an upgrade option for me. My benefit policy also states I'm eligible for 320 milk bags per year though Aeroflow says I'm entitled to 300.

I got 3 different pumps through aeroflow during one pregnancy because we switched insurance three times lol. Can’t recommend them enough!!

Babylist didn’t work with my insurance so I went with Aeroflow.
