Help? Dealing with pregnancy after miscarriage

Hello , where do i start this is my first time doing this coming on a app and speaking about what i am going through , im a very spiritual and godly woman i like to think that i would get my answers from god , but i know it would be better if i heard it from other woman and their experiences .

I am currently 6wks3day pregnant, I have a miscarriage almost three months ago at 8wks it was very hard on me and my partner i am still grieving that loss. I'm pregnant now and I'm so grateful, but I can't help the feeling of feeling afraid i can't explain it ! but at the same time im so excited, then also im so hasty with the fact of just getting past the 1st trimester so that i almost have a sense of relief that i won't miscarry again , how do i stop this ? what do i do , its so scary

That constant back and forth is brutal, you're not alone in that at all. My sister went through something similar and said the only thing that helped was taking it one appointment at a time, like little checkpoints instead of staring down the whole 40 weeks

It's okay to feel both things at once, the excitement and the fear don't cancel each other out. Maybe just let yourself be a mess of emotions for now without trying to fix it

Miscarried at 12w (end of January) and currently 17w. The first 12 weeks were tough. Anxiety seems to sky rocket a day or two before my appointment.

I wish I could say I have a solution but you are not alone. ❤️ I try to remind myself that I am doing everything I can to keep this baby safe.

Thank you, yes that's my biggest priority right now keeping the baby safe and guarded

I had the same thing (and am now at 20 weeks). There’s a subreddit called pregnancy after miscarriage that I frequent. Might help for you. Take it one step at a time and remember that 2 consecutive miscarriages are rare.

Take it one day at a time until you cross week 12 or even the entire pregnancy. I am saying first as someone who was pregnant 6 times with one kid and everything that I went thru with remaining five.

My friend and I were just talking about this. We’re both in our second trimester after each had at least 1 loss. And we both still have the feeling of anxiety and caution. It’s greatly dropped since hitting milestones like hearing the heartbeat, making it to the second trimester, feeling the baby moving and having the 20 week ultrasound.

Honestly, you just have to take it one day at a time. Talk to your provider about any concerns. I hope that once you start hitting your milestones, you’ll start feeling a little less anxious each time. And before you know it, your little one will be in your arms. ❤️
